So I was browsing the Minmatar LP store looking for modules that are worth using, and found, well, not a lot really. The only things the Minmatar store carries that are "best of breed" as it were, are projectile weapons (duh) and speed mods.
Amarr get armor hardeners, reppers, lasers.
Gallente get sensor mods, tracking mods, armor hardeners and hybrids.
Caldari get missiles, shield hardeners, shield boosters.
Minmatar get afterburners/mwd's, overdrives, projectiles.
Minmatar tanking gear is rubbish, and not cheap enough to be worth using over the other race's. Each race's weapons are a given, really, along with the damage mods for them. The only thing the Minmatar store seems to have that beats the other races are speed mods, which aren't worth anything right now with the speed nerf hanging over everyone like the Sword of Damocles. Even then, speed tanking
Am I simply missing something, or are the Minmatar at a distinct disadvantage here?

Yes. You are missing something. A big something. The one mod that rules them all in PvP.

The problem with the LP stores are the fixed values. CCP should implement an algorithm such as the one used for mission rewards where items purchased very often require gradually more LP and ISK/tags, and items purchased less often gradually less of all these.
This will make sure that major crashes in prices (see: navy battleship) will not happen, and create a generally more diverse market.

Eventually the great wheel of nerf will rotate away and Minmatar will be the new flavor of the month...when that time comes, I will be awesome but right now I'll just

Armor hardeners arent better than t2 hardeners, amarr at least got their eanm.

The speed mods are still useful for pvp, just not for making nano-crap, the rep fleet disrptor is equal to domination and so the best in game, alas the fleet tempy bpc or ship is not worth the lps anymore, the fleet stabber still sells ok I think - good for pvp or missions. Hope that helps a bit, fly safe friend o7

I forgot Gyros, they are very good and sell well and good for that pimped mission ship

30 km point.. simple. That si THE module for minmatar store.
But i stil thnk ccp must review the crap tag requeriments for most modules. Its ridiculous.
YOu need so many thtat to get a single smartbomb you need to kill so many ships of enemy navy that you are forever blocked og fgoign there. And take several dozen missiosn to achieve that.
Cut tag requirements to 1/3 of current and things might start to work on LP stores.
