Has anyone played this yet?
Is it as bad as the original X3 when comes to the ungodly amount of bugs in it when first released?

I've dabbled in it a bit. I haven't run into any bugs yet, but then again I am an utter noob at the X series so I might not even be using the features that might have bugs.

From what I hear from my sources, its rather good. Check out egosoft's site (egosoft.com, forum.egosoft.com) for their forum.. it will have much better information than what you will get from here.

Always played the series. and just got this one. There are glitches, but nothing serious. its better than x3 reunion.
I haven't played it enough to comment on it, but best be checking on online review instead of this forum for through testing.

Shame the game supports no multilayer, not even co-op.

Steam actually makes this easy... just get some buddies you know play x3, get them on steam friends, and then use a channel for voice stuff.
Make a x3 group and get all your friends to invite all their x3 friends to all play together, and then use the group chat for voice.

I'm still playing through Reunion, I'll move onto TC when I get bored of this.
Most of my game time seems to be spent afk. I park my ship somewhere I'm unlikely to be disturbed, set the SETA going at 10x and wander off for a few hours. When I come back, my factories and sector/universe traders have done their thing and I'm a few mil richer.
I wish my SETA would go higher than 10x.

Giving it a go myself, and its far stabler than when X3 came out.
No quick way to set up stations in a grid-like formation for complexes, yet again. Guess I'm gonna wait till the community releases complex builder scripts or egosoft patches it in. -

You might as well though, the end result is the same - extra money with very little player input.

I'm not too keen on missiles myself. The ones which hit do next to zero damage. Mosquitos can be useful though to aggro a pirate that's faster than you and you can't catch up. Personally, I use the cheesy method of jumpdriving to the gate they're heading for.
Anyway, I have finally sc****d up enough money (without that cheat script that was linked earlier) to buy a TL and finish off the infrastructure around my player headquarters. I now have one enormous complex in Elena's Fortune freely producing every material I need to build any ship. I even have excess of some materials to sell. I plan to start pumping out a fleet of M7 Hyperions and Xenon LXs (I captured one earlier and reverse engineered it) as escorts. 21 hour build time on the M7 though . It then remains for me to build a load of factories for producing shields and guns and the like.

bah.
The cheat scripts give you money, but with a (better) ui than a basic give money script. hell, i could write up a give me money script, but you might as well just download the cheats and use those.
Anyway, missiles are awesome when combined with the medusa missile interface... get a shitload of wasps in an m6, coupled with thunderbolts and various others (i use auroras, disruptors...) Wasps are nice because they are fast and they are swarm missiles, while thunderbolts will blow stuff up. Using medusa to launch a wasp at every ship within 10k, and then throwing a thunderbolt at them all too will seriously thin out m3's, and should kill most m4s... This uses shedloads of missiles though, and shouldnt be attempted without a factory producing the types of missiles you are going to be wasting :p
Also good as an "oh shit" button; as long as you arent getting shot at, you can use medusa to fire at anything near you, and the missiles usually distract the bad guys enough to let you get out, or at least charge your jumpdrive.
Then again, my game is scripted and modded to hell and back, and im not sure if it even will start anymore >.<

Yeah I've never heard of a Medusa interface.
Is it possible to produce your own ship extensions like engine tuning and rudder optimisation? Also software and jumpdrives? Or would that just make the game too broken?

There you SHOULD be able to find a link to just about anything you might want, be it free ships, upgrades like that produced at a player HQ... Just about anything really.
And if you cant finding, start learning how to script, and do it yourself! That is the joy of this game, the fact that you can literally do anything... Not like other games, where you actually are limited by what the game lets you, in x3 you can make new stuff to do if you really wanted to. Its a bit time consuming, but hey, it works!

Does it have a storyline of any sort? Is Julian Brennan back? And the hot, asian chick whose pixels make it all worthwhile? What about the psycho mobster's daughter I vaguely recall having to rescue?
I have X2 and X3, I think I'll order this later on. I had the misfortune of playing X3 before they patched the major bugs and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I reinstalled it quite recently and tried to have another go...couldn't work out why my SETA wasn't working properly right at the start and gave up. -------------

Did your ship actually have a SETA device installed?
Anyway. YAY, I've finally gotten round to buying X3TC. First impressions: intro sequence is quite frankly AWESOME. I keep watching it over and over again (I know it's sad). The mouse + keyboard controls aren't the same as with X3R (unless I changed my controls in X3R and forgot about it), so it feels quite awkward to play. I miss being able to right click, getting a mouse cursor and being able to just click stuff. Now you have to shift-N. Not a great hardship (and I can probably reassign that function anyway), but annoying. Some other fairly minor UI tweaks which will take a while getting used to, such as (apparently) not being able to auto-dock.
From the limited amount I have played, it just seems like X3R but with some more ships, stations, equipment, etc and some new sectors added. Which I'm happy with - no need to fix what ain't broke! I haven't noticed any graphical upgrade over X3R (although I'm sure it's there), but then X3R was fairly shiny and pretty to begin with. |

Oh man I loved buzzing around in my pimped out jaguar. It had those oversized guns and ridiculous speed, making it superb for capping and general dogfights, like crusaders in eve!
Have the mechanics in dogfights changed? Does it still have that stupid eve-like auto-stop function (when you glide through space and stop the throttle, the ship automagically stops)? I'd love to see that 'feature' gone, it'd make the game much more interesting.
What about complex-building, in the original x3 it was so clumsy and random that you'd have to save after every successfull factory planting. In anycase, I might have to go and buy this game. _______

Edited by: ReaperOfSly on 23/10/2008 22:00:04 I don't remember a ship called the jaguar. My favourite ship was the Xenon LX. I think it must have been a bug (why would an AI eject from it's ship?), but I actually managed to capture one of these. Reverse engineered it, then built a small army of the things. They seem to be listed as M3, but their stats are slightly better than an M3+.
I'm afraid it's still a case of "Physics? What physics?". You stop your engines -> your ship stops dead. And I haven't build any complexes yet, but I was actually rather fond of my spaghetti complexes in X3R. Occasionally found a crate of free stuff near some of the tubes, where some silly trader had bumped against it.
Edit: ooh, one cool thing. You don't have to drop your shields to pick up crates any more. Just run over them, and they get collected. Saves some faffing about at least. |

The ship Julian starts in has SETA, I'm fairly sure. Regardless, my problem was that I would adtivate it, then after a time it would just disengage by itself. Before I did anything on starting anew, I wanted to try getting used to the controls etc, so tried manouvering about and SETA just wouldn't stay on. I went some distance from the bustle of that starting system (mostly to get away from Bandana That name always makes me laugh), and even stationary, it still happened. I posted on egosoft forums, tried everything with my logitech controller, remapped keys, and gave up. I really did try!
PS. Despite my final post in that thread, it didn't actually solve my problem. I thought it had, but trying a second time it came right back. Nevermind, I just ordered X3TC from play, will give it a go when it arrives.

Well, there's at least some inertia, you drift a little when you turn.
TC is my first X3 game, and I barely scratched the surface, but I think I like it.
Couple of noob questions:
- Where to find that jump drive I hear about? how much does it cost?
- So far in the stations I visited, the price of trade goods are the same, preventing trade. is trade only doable over long distances? Is it wize to try doing it without a jump drive?
- Any tip to make money in the beginning, in a custom game? Tried a kill mission, but even without wasting any time going about it, the timer ended 2 minutes before I could reach the target. Damn noobship slower than a cruiser. ------------------------------------------

Get the jumpdrive from the Terracorp Headquarters in Home Of Light (1 jump south of Argon Prime, 2 jumps south of Herron's Nebula where you start as humble merchant). It costs about 100k and uses energy cells for each jump.
To start trading, it's best to trade stuff like energy cells and ore. Buy energy cells from solar power plants at 12 or 13 credits each, sell them for 18 or 19. Buy ore from ore mines for around 50 to 70 credits each, sell for 130 to 180 (or more if you're lucky). One thing you will find immensely irritating is seeing another trader ship docking at the station before you, buying out a load of what you want to buy, and sending the price up. Not much you can really do about that but go somewhere else. It's good to invest in trade command software mk1 and mk2 early on, so you can see what the buy and sell price of goods at a given station are before you dock there. Best Buy locator and Best Sell locator cost about 20k each and are also worth getting as a trader once you've built up a little cash.
For a quick cash injection early on, there's an abandoned ship in the top right corner of Menelaus' Frontier (go exploring to find this sector - it's a little way to the north and east of Argon Prime). You will of course need a duplex or triplex scanner to find it. Go claim it and sell it at a shipyard.
Another way to make some easy cash is to scavenge stuff from battles. Last night, I bumped into some Paranid invasion fleet barging its way through Home Of Light. The resulting battle caused lots of ships to go pop, and drop a lot of missiles in crates which I could pick up in my buster sentinel. Made about 400k by doing that.
From what I can gather, missions in TC are broken. Some of them are impossible to complete in the given time limit. Don't bother. Just trade your way up to getting a decent fighter, then go shoot some pirates. Sometimes the pirate pilot will bail from his ship before you finish destroying it. Then you can capture it and either keep it or sell it. At least, that's what happened in X3R, haven't tried in TC yet. Build up some cash, then build a few stations here and there to give you an income, and basically go and dominate the universe.

i finally got the game as well, yesterday, and naturally spent all day playing :D Im working through the terran plot, its rather cool... the m4 that you start with is rather fast, and powerful... ive taken down m6's with it >.< Cant seem to find a jumpdrive in my current game though, but ive been busy playing the plot (dont really need a JD... cargo is too small to use effectively :| ) Main problem ive found is that nobody at all stocks terran weapons! Even the weapon forges themselves dont have them... Ive finally found a couple extra missiles, and one extra EMPC thing... That should make me that much more effective :D
There is also a minor bug in the terran m4 model in relation to weapon placement; the first two weapon slots are on the right, but they make both gun models show on the ship, whereas if i put a gun on the left side (bottom two slots), it shoots from an invisible gun on the left...
Oh yea, and the egosoft forums need an upgrade badly. |

Has anyone else been getting ridiculously low framerates? My game started off fairly smoothly, but my framerate has been getting lower and lower as I discover more sectors. I don't think it's a graphics issue because lowering the graphics settings doesn't give me a higher framerate, and my computer is fairly pimped out anyway. As far as I can tell, the only graphical change they've made is to add reflections (which can't be turned off). It's irritating.

apparently this is a cpu problem: the more systems you explore, the more your computer has to keep track of stuff and such... My computer has crappy framerates anyway, but i live with it :p
My guess is that in a month or two, egosoft will come out with a huge performance patch (they seem to always do).
Im now stuck in the terran missions, due to a rather annoying loop that requires the ts you capture to stay alive, and if it doesnt, requires you to start over >.<

Dude, just don't bother with missions. They're basically broken at the moment. Just build up an empire using more traditional means like trading, capping and manufacturing.
So do you reckon getting a new CPU would help much with the framerates? I've been thinking for a while about upgrading my E2160 to an E7300. More L2 cache, higher multiplier, 45nm chip, all good things and doesn't cost a king's ransom. |

Meh the missions work well enough to give me free ships, and thats all i worry about at the moment :D (just got handed a fully loading terran m3... not complaining )
Plan on working my way up with the missions to a ship that can use marines... try out capturing other ships for profits.

I just remember laughing when X3R came out and everyone complained that the anti-piracy was preventing them from playing their legit game. When the Bala-gi missions came out in v2.0, they decided to remove the protection that was causing so many problems.

X3 is the entire reason I even started playing Eve. I was always like "I wonder what this game would be like in multiplayer?" Now I know... blooooooody! I have not bought it yet, because X2 I bought a new comp to run it, and X3 I bought a new comp to run it. I don't want to buy a new comp just yet . I just cannot get over how insane the graphics are in that game though. Even X2, despite the terrible ****pit, still has some decent graphics options that can test a good computer.
Can you cap Khaak cap ships in the expansion? That would be quite lovely. Also what's up with invasion forces? Do the Paranid invade Argon space, Split invade Boron space, and the like?

From what I understand, the capture technology that they introduced with the marines and such allows you to capture BigShips (above m6, below m2, but not including m8... last minute dev change apparently) This SHOULD include all ships, including khaak, xenon, friendly bigships... |

Ok so apparently either I fail at boarding, or i just have no clue how; I got a tp, and I found myself a pirate centaur that i banged up quite a bit. I ordered the tp with 9 marines to board it, and kept my weapons on the centaur to keep the shields down...
But somehow it managed to kill all of the marines, i get no status messages related to the boarding, and it also kills my tp! Now im mad... So i reloaded and blew it to hell before it had a change
Since ive now given up on m6 targets, and m7 are also out of the question, where can i find a good target? :\

I think someone in the Egosoft forums mentioned that M7M ships (or something) were specially equipped with boarding pods for marines. I think the fact that weapons stay intact after severe hull damage is a bug. Once that is fixed, it may be possible to capture a ship with marines using other types of ship. |

X3 TC has some good ideas, but it has also the old Egosoft problem of being full of bugs.
For example some Storyline Missions cannot be completed without cheating. Also the game has a bad performance problem and is slowing down over time, which right now can only be solved with starting over.
In my honest opinion you should still give X3: TC a chance but it would be the best to wait a few weeks and the game has been patched to an acceptable level.

Yes, I'm giving up on X3TC for a while until Egosoft release a performance patch. I have explored the western part of Argon space and a few sectors leading over to Akeela's Beacon and Light of Heart. And my framerate is around 15 on average as opposed to 60-80 at the start.
Thing is, I understand why performance is degrading as I explore more sectors, it's just that I'm reminded that X3R doesn't have this problem.

there is still the one over by omicron lyrae, complete with a goner TL that will give out a story mission. to the above...
Reaper, of course i started as terran. ... :D Actually, they have jumpdrives on Earth, so I just use there now. got enough drives that I can use a tm to move discos with drives and trade among ships... tm's and discos are cheap, and i know two places to get drives so far.
Finished off the terran plot.. thinking of buying a 'real' ship, a centaur or the likes... a nova raider, because its faster, got better cargo, and can use more weapons than my meh terran m3... dont really care for it much. Too generic... like a mission running raven. I want to get rid of it.
At the xenon invasion comment, your obviously doing it wrong :D Get a single ship.... m7 maybe, dunno how good those are yet in TC... Use that with some ranged weapons, and go shoot at random stuff in a xenon sectors. The few times ive been through xenon sectors, I dont see very many xenons at all. Ive seen more in patrol missions than in xenon sectors tbh.
And I give ego another 3 months at MOST to release 1.3... probably closer to 1 month for 1.3, another 2 for 1.4, then maybe 6 till 2.0 :p
While ego never seems to release a perfect game, they have stated one of their biggest regret of the series is releasing x3r too early...
I dont really have a good enough computer on either release, but I can live with it.. My biggest problem is the damn terran stations, they are 30km across at least, and are a bigger drain on my fps than a xenon battle. I was literally going seconds per frame when I was trying to dock at the torus.
I should say though, that even from mars, earth is a beautiful sight

I'm a huge X3 noob so if anyone can help with a few questions...it would be awesome.
1: I've got one extra hauling ship, and managed to save up enough to buy some Trade Software M3 or whatever it is. So I can now do sector trading. I did this, and got him to level 6.
- Can I do universe trading now, or is that later? And what does that do? - When I do sector trading, it now asks for a range (0-1). What exactly does this do? Obviously it wants to know how many sectors to trade in from the one I pick, but will it buy/sell in all of these places? And if it's on standby, will it automatically kick back in once it detects a good trade?

I haven't done auto trading in X3TC, but I can tell you how it worked in X3R and it's probably the same.
You've worked out how to do sector trader, so that's fine. You need to wait until the pilot is level 8 before you can make him a universe trader. You also need to equip the ship with at least one 25MW shield, fight command software 1 (and possibly 2), and trade command software 3 (which you already have). Equipping a jump drive is good too, but when the trader reaches level 12, he'll just buy one anyway at 10% extra cost to you. It's basically only used to escape if it comes under attack. Then you'll be able to start universe trader from the command console. I can't remember precisely what range does, but I *think* it's how far from its location it will look to buy and sell things.
Do NOT fit a gun to the universe trader. If you do, he'll turn and try to fight instead of using the jumpdrive to escape. That WILL result in the trader being lost.

- For some reason, my hauler on sector trader orders keeps doing one trade and then saying orders completed...why? I didn't have this problem before. Just all of a sudden it only does one trade and stops.
To start the Ship as an Universe Wide Trader, you need to Tquip his ship with Jump Drive. Also when the Trader Script stops, it would be best if you move it to a different location because the Trader does probably not find enough business opportunities in his assigned sector

Though shouldn't the ship go on standby if there are no good trades within its range? Mine just makes one trade and goes to "orders: none" rather than going to standby and waiting.

From what i see, your ST asks for an input (1/0), and then does about its work... have you tried giving it both zero and one, to see if it makes a difference?
Perhaps there is simply nothing to be done in that sector... I dunno offhand what the good sectors in x3tc are for ST training, check the ego forums for that stuff.

definately a fun game once you get into it. I started off a bit confused as to what to do (like every X game really) but it's normally worth it.
definately has it's bugs, and seems to lag a lot for me in some sectors so I hope Egosoft fix that at some point, but nothing unbearable...
except those stupidly impossible Xenon Invasion missions.
Wasted sooo much time on this already. Went exploring all the sectors in a Kestrel, found about 10 Unique Ships in space
The wings thing makes ordering fighters about so much better, plus they can actually hit stuff now. I don't really like big clumsy ships so most of my fleet is those TM things (super-mini carriers) carrying around my lil' fighter swarms of doom.

I've managed to bodge an extra 2GB of extra RAM onto my system by using some old dimms I had lying around and tinkering with clocks and voltages. It seems to have given an appreciable performance increase. About 25fps when looking at a huge station and SETA going. Approaches 60 fps when SETA is off.
Still, I have only explored about a quarter of the map so I sill want this patch. ____________________

Another reason to dl it and try before you buy it. Saying that, Egosoft is one of the better software houses so far and I have yet to find one of their games with anything more than annoying minor bugs.
Quote: Thing is, I understand why performance is degrading as I explore more sectors, it's just that I'm reminded that X3R doesn't have this problem.
X3R does if you have loads of ships flying around other sectors or sattelites in a lot of sectors. It has to track everything that is within the scan range of these things in other sectors.
I hope that TC has a more realistic tracking system. Having a ship spawn rather than fly from one point to another made X3R quite annoying and made calculated trading quite impossible. I lost count of how many times I went off to get stuff for a certain station, only to find some NPC had spawned in the system close to the station and maxed out their inventory of it seconds after I jumped in through the gate.
Also, uniformity was a problem with X3R. A Silicon or Ore mine has nothing docked and a full stock for sale. A NPC Buster docks and buys the lot. When you look at a Buster, it can't carry Ore or Silicon and certainly a maxed cargo buster wouldn't even scratch the mines stock level even if it could carry the stuff.

My biggest disappointment with the X3 series was your inability to land and mess around on planets. Just like Eve. It seems the only programmer capable of making a game like this (David Braben) hasn't brought us a space sim for a good few years/decades now. I also don't like the use of gates. No wait.... I absolutely hate gate to gate travel and the cell-like nature of the galaxy. On the plus side, the factory interface is pretty damned easy to use and that whole setup was quite innovative at the time.
Anyway, I hate to spoil the party, but Flavien is making progress on this side of things with another game.

Something I wish they'd work on more is the ridiculous autopilot system. Watching your ship trying to round a station or asteroid at times is painful (especially when it flies right into said asteroid or station ). Good game though despite some niggles.

I dont trust the autopilot unless its working OOS. Otherwise, grab a docking computer and manually fly/dock (once under about 5km, hit shift d and you will teleport to the dock)
If there is critical operations going on in system, then I almost immediately leave and go somewhere else; too much a risk to stay in system when stuff like that is going on. Keep in mind when you are seta'ing, you also reduce the time the collision detection stuff has to react, and this is not good for the autopilot.

Actually it does seem to be getting better now. I think the program I was using to measure my FPS was chewing up some CPU making the result lower. With that not switched on, it seems slightly smoother. of course, it doesn't help with me flying around terran sectors with their humongous stations and high resolution textures. ____________________

Have to say I'm loving this one - I played XBTF and X2 a lot and loved them - then X3R just didn't do it for me. X3TC for me has that 'something' that X2 had oodles of but was missing from X3R.
Performance is fine tbh on my system since the update 1.21. The occasional pause in a busy system is all - otherwise pretty smooth and very nice (I'm on a Core 2 Duo with 2 Gigs DDR800, a GF8800 GTX and Vista32 - so nothing exceptional)
I've been doing combat missions and making loads of cash fast - think I may have found a bugged one tho - was hired to escort 3 freighters to a station and the last one has been sitting outside the station most of an hour (seta on except for the fights) while the odd khaak spawn keeps appearing - I've killed over 100 khaak scouts this mission so far

Excellent game, however the autopilot still seems to have the hand of satan upon it.
Go through Jump gate Target station Click dock Autopillock points the ship straight up away from the station and plows you into the gate.
Other than that, and the performance issues, I'm sure I'll wind up playing it for at least a year much like X3.

The autopilot problems, in general, are old news; i dont know about before x2, but x2 and on have always had autopilot problems. At this point, the autopilot is a rather well documented problem on the egosoft boards, and nobody ever talks about it except the new people...
and im not sure weather the escorts are bugged or not; I tried one of them a while back, but I ended up losing it because P's kept spawning over and over, and one got through to the two weak freighters I was defending. Oh well :(
I do love the rather epic pirate patrols ... yaki and pirates spawn, and they apparently hate each other. This means that half of the guys spawned are too busy killing the other half, and not busy shooting you. I love this, as it leads to nice epic centaur on centaur action, with HEPT blasts and CIG's all over the place. It is so much more fun to fight like that and not like khaak or xenon >.> (also the pirates seem to hardly ever use PBE's, while the xenon do all the time)

I can't remember if X:btf had an autopilot. I definitely remember docking manually but not whether that was because I hadn't fit an appropriate docking module. I think it's strange that people don't mention the autopilot in Xú:TC because it is beyond bad. Not game breaking though.

Argh, I have a bug. The last few missions I've done where I'm meant to transport someone to another station, I get to the destination and nothing happens. The mission just expires a few minutes later. Seems the passenger isn't boarding my ship at the pick up point. ____________________

Bolded the important part.
I also expected a somewhat better system of easing people into the game. Those of us who have been with the series for years or who have a lot of patience can really enjoy the game, less so for many, many others which hurts sales and probably significantly lessens funding for more X games.

I don't know what people are whining about with this autopilot. Okay, it faffs around a lot messing around with obstacles, but it never actually crashes you. Even with SETA going, having the autopilot on is pretty much a guarantee that you won't crash into anything. ____________________

daelin, maybe you dont realize how easy it is to make money in x3tc. Getting into the game is as easy as it will ever be, even easier than the last games... In the plots, you are handed more ships than you can ever imagine. Not even mentioning the 500k you can get per m6 in a combat mission >.>
Reaper, you havent been playing long enough in seta 10x. The AI frequently will ram you straight into buildings, other ships, and anything in your way. The AI also cannot manage fast fighters around stations, even without seta they will suicide themselves into stations. While I can admit that nothing has happened yet in x3tc, that just means im lucky so far.

Haven't got a clue what IÆm doing, can't fix up my battered ship, AP rams me into just about any object in space and for some unknown reason I can't buy the only missiles my ship can fit....IÆll admit IÆve not looked at the PDF manual or ever played any other titles in this series. From a newcomerÆs point of view, there's not a lot to keep me interested or even try to find out how things work.
Good job I've got Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 to play.

Edited by: Deviana Sevidon on 03/11/2008 11:49:47 Well, the Patch solved the Performance Problem for me and the game is definatly playable even in crowded Sectors of space.
So yes, the game is playable, but there are still glitches in the game and the balancing needs some fine-tuning.
Mission Payouts are far too high compared to Trade, Production and Mining (no this is not an EVE whine) and some weapons with AoE are far too powerful.
Edit: The start is not that easy and the economy has the problem that Terran Missiles are extremely short in stock. Right now no Terran Factories can be build by players but I expect this to be either resolved with some patch or someone will mod this.
The start is difficult if you are not familiar with the X-Series but a lot easier then in previous installments of EVE. Basically it is a Sandbox-Game where the Storyline can be ignored for the most part. It starts to get interesting if you set yourself some goals, like becoming a High Tech Manufacturer, dominating the market in some areas. Build up your own Fleet of Capital Ships and so on...

To repair damage to your ship, eject and use your repair beam. It's slow but it gets the job done. To buy weapons, you need to raise your standing with the local race. If that's not the problem, it may well be that the station you're buying them from is simply out of stock. ____________________

Frankly put, the x series has a steeper learning curve than eve. Documentation in the earlier games was non-existant (x3r had nearly the same exact manual out of the box that x2 did... and it was still crap back then). x3tc is very unforgiving if you have no clue what you are doing. However, for docking, I suggest manual flying. Not only does it save time, its more fun ^^ (timing cutting your engines to match exactly when you land on that green light takes some practice though... and lining up your first capship for a proper landing at an eq dock isnt exactly easy either, granted it is rather nice seeing that first manual landing go perfectly)
With x3tc they actually added the encyclopedia (personal, advanced, encyclopedia) that has information on all ships, weapons, shields, wares, tech... anything that you have seen is in there, along with where to get it.
use these things... Do some of the plot missions just to get an idea of what you are doing, and so you know a few more sectors. Once you did that, feel free to advance on your own, finding stuff, etc.
The beginning phase of the game is the best part; working up from nothing to your first real ship... its better than eve in some ways

Noob question:
I spend a awful lot of time patching holes in my M4 fighter (Elite), because it's fitted with only 2 5MW shields. I know I can buy 2 25MW shield in terran stations, but they require a rank I'm not going to have before a while.
Is there anywhere else I can buy those shields sooner that that? ------------------------------------------

The Split also sell 25MW Shields in their Stations. Also I believe there are some Production Plants in the Territories of other Races. But with all Races it is basically the same game mechanic, without enough standing, they will not sell you the equipment.
Also, if you are flying a M4, it will not be able to fit 25MW Shields. This Class is restricted to 5MW Shields.

You have to get within 500m for the scanning to start. You can't do it from the side where there's docking ports, you need to come from "above" or "under" the station and head for the center of it.
It says in the Elite stats you can fit 25MJ shields. I like it's basic weapons a lot (particle accelerators, if I remember correctly). They're energy hogs, requiring you to hold your fire until you really have good chances to hit, but God do they hurt. You can kill a M5 with just 2 seconds of fire if you hit it. ------------------------------------------

It helps that M5s have hulls and shields made out of paper.
I'm currently doing the Terran storyline in a Buster Sentinel I found in Akeela's Beacon. It has 2 guns equipped which seem to be quite similar to the electro cannon things the Terrans have. The ship is painfully slow (144m/s), but it has 4 shield slots which is nice. And as long as I strafe, nothing ever hits me anyway. ____________________

Yes it's in the same place. 125mj shields don't exist anymore though, it goes: 1, 5, 25, 200, 1000, 2000
and the Falcon Sentinel can support 2x 200.
(though if you don't have the HQ you can just buy Falcon Haulers instead, which still have 1x 200mj shield, go 130ms or so and have a pretty big cargo)

Oh my God. M8s are SOOO easy to capture. I've fought three of them today, they all bailed. Easy 9 million. They don't have forward guns so all you have to do is strafe so that you're always in front of them.
I managed to confuse the mission NPC that was following me around. I used my transporter to move into a different ship, then sent my old ship far away using its jumpdrive. The mission AI went off in search of it even though it's no longer occupied. ____________________

However, I do have a cerberus. It seems to turn REALLY fast, even though its supposed to be slow. I can track m3s with the main guns if i try hard enough >.>
Youknow, i might try those m8s someday. Their damage potential seems rather much... do they use any missiles other than their hammers or whatever?

Yeah, I don't really see the point of M8s other than to capture and sell. Used my money from the first three to get myself an Argon Eclipse. I am dismayed to find out that the Eclipse is 26m/s slower than it was in X3R.
Is the Cerberus an M6? I got a bit annoyed with M6s in X3R because they died too easily unless they had heavy escort. Are they better now? ____________________

cerb is an m7, actually. Turrets seem to fail miserably though; flaks cant hit jack..
m6's are largly the same; they have better shields, but that is only due to the change from 125mj to 200mj shielding.
Dragon is still my favorite :D
CIG's are now the basic m6 weapon, which is reasonably effective.
M6's in general are not good for anything other than turrets and anti-capships. Still lack real armaments and laser generators, but they are still good.

I, without thinking, saw a sector patrol mission labeled pretty damn impossible and, again, without thought, decided it would be a good idea to try it in my cerb.
I see the xenon spawning, and I was like "oh ok, a bunch of P's. I can do this".
After the first round of P's, i see a K appear. Then another. Then a few more.
Then another half dozen.
Then everything stopped moving, and turrets broke :(
I started clearing out the Ks by the south gate, working on them one by one with my 6 CIG's... slow, slow work, but it gets done. Eventually I work through two or three of them, when they come alive... oh ****, i think, but I manage to stay alive and clear the area.
I kill off everything I can see, and get the incoming message; 70m in hard cash for my work. (800k per P, 5m ish per K). I fire up my lazcorp scanner (it drops adv sats around you to increase scanner range). And I see ANOTHER half dozen K's, and a compliment of P's and L's and company sitting at the east gate. . At that point, I just left >.<

Ah, that would make finding the gates easier, thank you.
There's a slighly cheesy way of finding gates if you have a jumpdrive and can spare 5 energy cells. Simply go to your ship's autopilot command console and tell your ship to "Jump and fly to position". Select a position close to where you think the gate ought to be, and your jumpdrive will take you right to that gate. ____________________

I wouldnt say that m8's are useless... you just need to shoot lots and lots of missiles at someone before they become effective.
at 600k damage a missile( i think), they become the smallest ship capable of putting out that much hurt. Problem is, missile defense is rather easy.
Ive been meaning to take one of those, and some fighter drones or m5's, and see how well ships defend against missiles when they are busy getting shot up by my wingmen, but i would have to build the infrastructure to support an m8 size craft first. Id need missile fabs (granted, those are easy), some time, and enough m5s...

Go to commonwealth space, and look for stations that have little red target icons above them. Comm with them, and ask the guy with the target icon for a job. If it is a sector patrol mission (patrol this sector and shoot hostiles), say sure. Every time you blow something up, you get monies. Once you finish the mission (kill everything, or go 20km away from the nearest hostile), you get the payout. Usually, its around 500k per m6 kill, and smaller amounts for m3 and such. Killing lots of hostile ships yields high payouts...
The missions scale with your combat rank, meaning that the higher rank you have, the more stuff spawns. therefore, the higher your fight rank, the more stuff spawns, more payouts.
Its great and all, but these are too easy to find. Nobody tells you it is going to be that hard... Usually you are going to find yourself fighting against a HUGE fleet of hostile m6 and such, with tons of support. I suggest taking these in sectors with friendly forces around, preferably a few m2s....

Edited by: Shadowsword on 08/11/2008 21:56:09 Just went from an Elite (M4) to a Nova Vanguard (M3), and the differences are amazing. Shield five times tougher, weapons regenerating much faster (and more of them), and just as fast as the M4.
Suddenly I can do missions rated hard or very hard and I end up worrying more about collisions than actual damage taken... ------------------------------------------

lol yea, the differences between an m4 and m3 are huge... except you only really have about twice the buffer than an elite, shields regenerate better.
I liked the nova raider better because of its speed though; ill take speed over pure firepower or shields any day.

Try an M3+ like the Argon Elite. It's practically indestructible.
I'm saving up now to get my first M7. I'll work up my race reputations so I have a choice of which one when I have the money. ____________________

elite is an m4+. One of the worst ideas ever imo; an m4 craft with 50mj shields and a rear turret? Maybe more of an m3- instead. Cost is HUGE too.
The eclipse is the m3+ for the argon; two turrets, 200mj shields... Honestly now.

split mambas go 200m/s+... nova raider goes 190. Split dragon (m6) also goes 172... Split craft are the fastest of their class usually (ignoring terran/atf junk). They usually also have the lowest shields and pretty good laser gens.
I like the split ships personally... faster usually is good if you dont like fighting (see:nano ships). My dragon was usually able to evade what it.

My Personal ship is the Mamba Raider. Goes about 266ms, has a rear turret and can fit Energy Bolt Chainguns. Only 25mj of Shields but....
I need to try the Eclipse at some point, but at 7mil a pop they're a bit too pricey (might as well put the money towards a new M6) so I just use Falcon Haulers instead. 132ms, but 200mj of Shields, a very generous cargobay, back turret and can mount EBCs, all for about 3mil fully-fit

I'm a few hours into X3:TC now and think I'm over the worst of it. It took a bit longer than I expected to get the basics, configure controls and so on. I decided to follow the plot for a little in the hope it gives you a helping hand along the way as my Terran Sabre is a bit pathetic in most fights I've come across. I somehow managed through determination and stupidity, to have all three of my autosaves in Omicron Lyrae all of which with Xenon right outside the station I was at. It took me over 2 hours to leave the system
I spent a while trading flowers in Scale Plate Green to upgrade my Sabre, found an abandoned ship later (in treasure chest) and one of the plot missions has you adding three rapiers to a wing. I completed the patrol and sold off the two surviving ships and used the money to buy a hauler. I just need to work out now how to make it trade on its own. I hate this early stage in the game when all I want is the Nova, but then usually in games it's always the beginning that's the hardest. There's always a point you cross where money stops being an issue.
What's the skinny on those Mx+ ships people have mentioned? The Elite/Eclipse, etc. And why did noone tell us that there was no Julian Brennan? Also how do you all control the ship in dogfights? Joypad/stick? Any recommendations for a good one? Mine is a hassle to configure and the two analogue sticks aren't very comofrtable, don't mind investing in a new one if it's any good. -------------

Basically Mx+ are like a Mx would be with 25% more speed, shields and cargo. And weapons regenerating faster. And shields, too. In Eve that's like comparing a Rifter with a Jaguar, only a fast Jaguar...
Originally by: KingsGambit Any recommendations for a good one? Mine is a hassle to configure and the two analogue sticks aren't very comofrtable, don't mind investing in a new one if it's any good.
I play with the mouse and WASD keys, I find it much more precise.
- Against much faster enemies, I follow them until they turn around toward me, then start strafing and just throw as much volume of fire as I can their way, until they're past me, rince and repeat.
- Against slower enemies, by permanently strafing I can run circles around them while keepin the nose of my ship almost completely toward them. With the fairly wide firing angle of my forward weapons, I can keep firing at them indefinitely. Sometimes I vary the strafing or change it's direction to avoid heavy turret fire. When I do that, I have to be pretty carefull of my surroundings. It wouldn't do to crash against the station I'm trying ot protect.
Second M8 captured, I now have 4.5M credits. I'm starting to fight M6s, and they hurt quite a bit. It also seems they have an explosion radius when they go pop, that can kill you if you're near it. ------------------------------------------

In the Argon 418 (or 148?) sector, the one that's in a dead-end and has only one gate to a "unknow sector" (what a pain, that sector, gates 120km away from each other), you have a shipyard and equipment dock, + medium shield factory and stuff.
That shipyard allow you to buy just about any argon ship, aside from the M3+ and a some of the M3/M4 variants. I don't remember how the M7 is called exactly, but it's description make it a missile-heavy ship. You can also fit it with boarding pods.
One stupid thing I noticed about terrans: If you have a rank inferior to Mars Marshall, you can't buy the "whatchamacallit" guns most terrans ships use. You can buy a Sabre, but you can't buy any gun for it without that rank, since it can only use that one. Had I been unable to reload at a previous time, I'd have been pretty much stuck. ------------------------------------------

Well I'm now flying the Split M7. And what a pain in the backside it is. Unlike the Hyperion in X3R, you can't dock with it. And just now, some numpty in a hauler rammed my M7 and then turned hostile. My guns are set to protect my ship, so they fired back at him and his escorts and now I've got the whole sector after my blood. ARGH. ____________________

About the argon m7 you are talking about; thats the argon m7m. It can pretty much only use missiles; hammer heavy torps, flail missiles, and boarding pods.
All three of those are rather hard to find in numbers, with boarding pods next to impossible. Which is why I have a small missile production complex for m7m missiles :D
Also, I have a (large) missile complex churning out missiles for my shiny new m8... that i dont have yet. got about 30 of them at the time of writing, but with 5 fabs producing, i dont think I will have a problem :D (each fab has a 20 min cycle, producing 3 at the end. 5 fabs = 15, 3x an hour is 45... 45 missiles an hour works for me) The missile production is staggared so its 3 every 4 minutes too xD
Now... for the split one, or a different one...

For above poster, I think if you hit SHIFT+C you bring up the window for your current ship to change it's behaviour.
I'm in a bit of a bind now though following the Terran Defender plotline. I've since posting a couple of days ago, moved into the M3 class and have some mercury haulers and two mines working away with 2mill credits left over. But following the plot, I'm supposed to take 200 units of teldinium to an Argon military sector. I get there, some guy says okay you're clear to proceed, another says "you're entering restricted space" and shortly after opens fire on me :| So i reload, wait outside gate and autopilot my M3 to me. Change ships (transporter device is still a favourite!), autopilot my freighter with the stock to the station then make a run for it shortly after and dock there myself. (autosave 1)
I get a pop up saying wait for xyz to dock, so I undock to check radar and turn SETA on to speed it up a bit.....incoming fire, redock (autosave 2) and wait in real time for whatshername to dock. She panics and leaps out of the station suggesting I pick her up, so I undock try to find her on radar, come under fire and stupidly dock again (autosave 3). So now I have a french terran bint in a space suit floating outside the only safe haven in a military sector where everyone is waiting for me to undock, no save to revert to and no idea what to do It's bugs like this that annoyed me in Reunion. Argh! -------------

If you look in your encyclopedia (great tool, that), you get a list of places you already visited where you can buy it, provided that you saw a M7M in space.
If that's not the case, you can at least buy one in argon area 148 (a name like that), near the sectors in terran space.
But it seems to me there's a bunch of M7M in practically all the shipyards I visit... ------------------------------------------

Never mind, I found them. Turns out there are 3 different M7 ships for each race, and the so-called M7M is one of those. I think I might replace my Tiger for the carrier variant. The only difference I can see is that all the weapons are turret controlled and it can hold 36 fighters. Yummy. Thing is, I still haven't managed to kit out my current M7 properly yet. All the stations that sell 1GJ shields: out of stock. All the stations with guns I want: out of stock. Bah. ____________________

Bought this game on Friday, and have been working my way through the Terran Missions. After getting my arse handed to me a lot (what, F1-F8 doesn't fire gunz?!), have figured out stuff. Still skint though, upgrading my ship.
Managed to capture a Xenon L, the pilot bailed for some reason (20% hull probably ), and I've told it to potter it's way (at 57m/s) to a shipyard where hopefully I can sell it for omgcredits. Fed up being broke, but I don't want to cheat.
Is there a quick way to target missiles that are homing in on you? I am getting blown up by missiles a lot |

Edited by: Shadowsword on 17/11/2008 10:14:10 When you get a ship with turrets, you can configure them for missile defense (shift-C to open the config panel, I think). The only other way is to spot the missile in time and fire at it with your main guns. Thought the mosquito description says it's an anti-missile missile. Never tried those.
About your Xenon L: don't sell it before repairing it, or you'll lose lots of money. Stop it near your ship (less than 200m away, if possible), eject, and repair it with your red laser. It's going to take some time (nearly an hour to repair a bomber), but the money you gain when you sell it is worth it. A fully repaired M8 sell for 3M. A M3 like the Xenon L should go for something like 600-700k.
BTW, escort your xenon on it's way to the nearest shipyard. Without any shield or IA to make it evade fire, it's an easy target for any hostile it might stumble upon. |

Originally by: Ombey Ah great, nice tips thanks. I need my turrets to pewpew with, I only got 2 of the starting turrets, so as soon as I can buy more I'll config them for missile defence.
Don't confuse turrets with the guns you start with on most ships. Those are your frontal guns, which can only be controlled by the pilot. To know if your ship has turrets, make a show info on your ship. You can also control a turret manually by switching the F1 view, if your ship possess one or more, but it's useless, as you're needed in the driver seat when fighting.
couple of additional tips:
- Don't use missiles at first, they cost a lot, and you'll probably have less abandonned ships to reclaim with their high alpha.
- The first and foremost thing you should look at when trying to get a more potent ship is it's shield amount. Moving speed and energy regeneration speed should be the second and third most important stats.
- When fighting, always, always keep strafing. As you get more powerfull enemies as your fighting rank increase, you should learn to change every few seconds which way you're strafing, too, because the NPCs will start doing some trajectory prediction. strafing always the same way will get you hit as much as not strafing at all.
- Big alpha strike is important. strap on as many guns as you can, all in a single group, even if your energy can't support more than a few seconds of firing. Your fighting doctrine should be to open up only when you're reasonnably sure to hit, and to hit hard then. No firing out at 2km against something that doesn't fly straight, your projectiles will take something like 3 seconds covering that range, and the target will have changed direction, making your chances to hit remote, at best. You're encouraged to do just that against targets flying straight, however.
- In order not to screw up your own motion prediction computer, don't use mixed guns with widely different projectile velocities.
- Station defense missions are far eaiser than patrol ones, because enemies will ignore you until you damage them. This allow you to pick them off one by one. In patrols you will quickly by swarmed and deaded. :p |

I could have had a xenon P the other day. The pilot bailed (I was unaware that M6 pilots could bail, but there you go), but I had already put too much firepower in its direction and it popped
I really need to try and use marines for boarding. Those Xenon K have a blind spot directly above them, so I should be able to get marines in that way. ____________________

It depends really.
If you're flying about in an M5 (to explore the universe) then keeping some missiles (Dragonflies usually) helps massively on those station defence missions. Let me tell you trying to take down Pirate Falcons and Bombers takes a long long time with just IREs. |

I now have a nice little squadron of one nova vanguard and 5 Eclipse, and my next objective is to get a pair of corvettes. However, any patrol mission I accept end up with a swift death, because I always get 10+ corvettes and something like 60-80 fighters wrecking havoc in the sector.
Is there any way to decrease that? Or am I sentenced to station defense missions until I get a whole fleet of warships? ------------------------------------------

I got back into this game, captured myself a nice little M8 (a Peregrine) and i'm able to take down corvettes with a single heavy missle. With my M5 swarm ramming into everything, but sometimes killing the smaller ships i'm making some nice cash in the combat missions.

But M8 is quite possibly the most useless ship class in the entire game. The only reason I have any is because they bail really easily and I haven't gotten around to selling them yet.
Get yourself an M7. Or even better, an M6 vidar. Can turn about twice as fast as any other M6 and has 1GJ of shielding. ____________________

Guns which can only be found in Terran space, and can only be bought one or two at a time from stations which usually don't have any in stock. And forget about producing them yourself, because you can't buy Terran factories. So yeah, good luck with that. ____________________

With a little trick I was able to duplicate the Point Singularity Projectors.
Sell 2 Singularity Projectors at a Sector with a Shipyard (i.E. Mars) and then purchase 10 Haulers. When it comes to the Fitting Screen, select that you want each Hauler with 2 of the Singularity Projectors.

lol I did that to get myself 30 energy bolt chainguns >.> costs a small fortune to do stuff like that, but its worth it if you are too lazy to find factories or build your own.

You have three options. Babysit AI factories till they make some, and then do the eq dock thing with them
Build your own factories, do eq dock thing
cheat them in >.<

I bought and tried a Centaur, but I'm not convinced by it. it get out of energy awfully fast, for a firepower that isn't that good, imho. And 600k shield goes down fast when you can't dodge well, and struggle to finish off the pirate heavy-hitters due to lack of energy.
So I'm selling my 5 eclipses, wingmen kinda suck anyway, when protecting me they take something like 10 sec to react and start Doing Something, and their firing accuracy make them pretty useless against anything smaller than a corvette anyway. And they got me killed twice in collisions.
I now have 50M credits, and grinding Split rank to get a Tiger. That frigate look like a real killer, with nice energy and shield regen, and 10 guns on 5 turrets on top of 8 main guns. Ability to fit 4 Phased Array laser Cannons on the two side turrets looks pretty nice on paper, as well, for some long range, accurate fire, and signifiant hull damage. With a flak behind, and Pulsed Beam Emitters above and under, that should make it a pretty solid fly-swatter.
Couple of noob questions:
- Some people seem to think Energy Bolt Chainguns are a must-have. Why? It has a rather good range, but only average projectile velocity, making said range relatively useless. Damage per shot is fairly low. Ok, it use almost no energy, and that's very good, but it must be a huge ammo hog, no? The kind that use a full cargo worth of space in a few minutes of fire, and then leave you defenseless until you find more?
- Pulsed beam Emitter: limited range, high energy usage, but pretty good shield damage per shot. Limited hull damage per shot, but at 1150 shots/minute, with huge projectile speed (meaning excellent accuracy) and against the limited hull HP of fighters, it must do be an uberpwning machine of doom against them. no?
- Flak, area of effect weapons, on AI-controlled turrets: They must give you a lot of unwanted aggro, in convoi/station defense missions, no?
- Advice on main guns for a corvette/frigate? I'm inclined toward ion shard railguns atm, or maybe just high-energy plasma throwers? But it might lack punch against large ships. ------------------------------------------

Edited by: Deviana Sevidon on 29/11/2008 20:09:22 The solution for many of your problems is a script created by players, the MARS Fire Control System.
The script automatically switches targets and weapons of AI controlled turrets and it does a very good job at it. The only disadvantage is, that your game is marked as "modified" which is not really a problem.
Edit: I am also very fond of Terran Ships. In a MMORPG I would consider them overpowered with usually the best Shields of their Class and Weapons that rarely run out of Energy. Their Antimatter-Bombs also cause a very high amount of damage against the targets hull, once the Shields are down.

Referring to terran ships: Terran ships are to x3tc as pre-nerf ravens were to missions. Easy mode basically. Other stuff can be used, but it requires actual skill.
At shadow: Wingmen are good... sometimes. In limited circumstances really.
The Tiger looks nice, but as I have a cerb, i opted for the panther instead. Better support ship for me i guess. Phased array laser cannons ive never seen in my game, but I might cheat some in to see how good they are. Also, PBE are not so great on bigger ships; they hit often, but the range is too limited (capships have a large avoidance range) Get MARS, and give it a ton of cool guns... its quite a sight to see MARS in action with a lot of lasers. Your questions:
EBC:s DONT USE ENERGY. That is their selling point. Ammo is relatively small, and with damage comprable to an HEPT minus the energy use, it makes it rather powerful. I use them in my wingmen...
The PBE is a specialty weapon. Great for capping, not so great for all around use. Good at killing shields, not so great at hull. Use them in conjunction with HEPTs or EBCs to kill larger stuff in a small ship.
Flaks: They have a 30m or so area of effect range. Cool effect, but not really much area of effect. Great anti-fighters though.
Weapons on m6/7: Concussion impulse generators are your basic m6 weapon. I would prefer ion shards or EBC's because those dont toss fighters around... for an m7, if you can get one that fits IBL's (incendiary bomb launchers) or the teladi one I think fits gauss cannons, those are good. Otherwise, fit 8x or so CIG's in the front batteries, and flaks as much as possible elsewhere.

Edited by: Shadowsword on 30/11/2008 19:37:33 This morning I got myself a Tiger. The thing is damn long, I sc****d the rear paint against the shipyard in seconds. Well, whatever. I get to another sector, and I barely loaded that some random freighter hit me, and get turned into small pieces drifting around. "You have lost recognition". Damn. Well, whetever, I have the ship now, I didn't want that rank anyway.
I have fitted it with temporary guns, 4 pulsed shield emitters, HEPT everywhere else, and go try a random escort mission to test the beast. Xenon fighters appear and...and... WTF! I can't hit a damn thing with my main guns (HEPT)! It seems that, since my guns are a few hundred meters forward compared to the ship's center, the ship prediction motion computer is screwed up, projectiles consitently go "under" where they should hit. As for the turrets... they rarely connect. For all intends and purposes they might as well not exist. Tought it will probably change if I get my hands on proper flak weapons.
Yes, I know about scripts, but I'd like to get to know the game more before playing with those. ------------------------------------------

I fly a Tiger and I think it's a wonderful ship once you get over the fact that you can't dock at most stations. I just use HEPTs as main guns and turrets. If something gets too close, I just turn so that they crash into me.
I've now invested in the OTAS Boreas M2. Having a bit of trouble finding stations that stock guns for it, but when it's kitted out, I'm gonna go smash up some Xenon sectors with that and my M7. ____________________

I am flying Terran ships, because I started the game as a Terran and found out that I like their ships.
The problem with the boarding capsules is also known and one of the many problems of the game. Right now, the only way to obtain them without cheating is, to destroy a pirate base. Once a Base has been destroyed a new one will spawn a few sectors away in a random location and there is a chance that a new Pirate Base will have the capsules in stock.

I hope they'll fix the rank/difficulty scalability issue (because patrol missions against ka'ak or xenons are just a little bit overdone :p ), and time alaivable to complete kill missions.
I suppose asking for an ATF shipyard and ATF missions to do is a bit too much. :/ ------------------------------------------

Well, you can do ATF missions. They're the Terran storyline missions - the more of the plot you do, the higher your ATF standing, and the more of the solar system you can fly around in. When it's over, you can go to Earth, and get blown up for straying out of the approved shipping lanes. ____________________

Just got this game this afternoon and I am enjoying it!
My only issue I have had so far is that I picked up this 'simple' courier mission. I had to get a bunch of people over to some other station.
'Easy' I thought... Until I couldn't find the people that I was supposed to carry.
Now mind you, I'm still very new. I am running around trying to find these guys and I jsut can't! and I fail the mission
Am I just a newb who can't find his items hangar or what?
Also, I picked up some debris in space... how do I take it out of my ship?
