What the heck - agent runners didn't raise prices bcause of 'greed' - those who feel the prices of implants and tech 2 components are too high should sit down with an agent, complete 300 or so missions and see just how many tech 2 components and especially implants drop. Then take a rather important look at the number of hours you just spent doing the missions and what you gained in terms of standing/isk/drops and what you would think is 'reasonable'.
*rolls eyes*. In terms of prices being too high, your local economics books are only a library away (or even better economics articles only a mouse click away due to the wonder of the internet). Read up on market dynamics, fluctuations and monopolies and legal policies in place or not in place in various countries to control them. You'll find that there are little problems with EVE's market at all, except the simple fact that Mr.X complaining here doesn't have enough money to buy a certain something.
Heres a funny RL comparison - I live in North West London, and a small home here in the suburbs costs around over ú250 k (half a million dollars). Theres property prices for you - extensive demand, huge price. No intervention. No one here in their 20s can buy a home for themselves and we just have to climb the property ladder slowly and hope for some sort of price crash that doesnt seem to occur. An extreme case of the market going crazy but once more, its just how things occur.
We deal with that, you deal with this in the game, lol (yeah I know this is a recreational game but I think most people are proud for once a mmporg market is realistic). As for it not being 'fun' - the whole point of the player market is that activities of the game population dictate how things occur. And it is.... But not only will CCP not interfere but writing a post on the game forum that 5% of the game population read (and probably only 2% even consider seriously) in an attempt to alter market dynamics is asking for a little bit too much, hehe. I very much love the EVE market and the fact real life ecnononmic rules for the most part work just as they should in game. Who could have thought learning econonmics would be so much fun eh kiddies? But just as would be predicted, some of you simply arn't understanding a damned thing -----

A place where Concord no longer polices or protects, 'human nature' thrives in all its distilled destructive self-serving glory. Welcome to hell ladies and gentlemen, welcome to what it really is to be human.'
