I am extremely proud of all of the CA pilots who answered the call yesterday. We came under attack by no less then 3 alliances simultantiously, and still managed to come out on top kill wise.
I remember during the battle we kept getting intel that enemy reinforcements were streaming in, and still we stood our ground. At one point I heard something on TS that made me proud:
CA Pilot 1: "Ok, we're outnumbered in BS like 3:1, we _really_ need to pull out"
CA Commander: "Fk that, we're doing fine. Keep shooting dammit!"
The battle continued until it became literal suicide to stay any longer, and CA forces withdrew to safespots to begin another hour or two of guerrilla warfare that claimed probably another 10 enemy BS (We lost a couple more BS ourselves in the process, but the numbers favored us in these engagements)

pods count as ship :/
Just tested on a system - killed ship map showed 1 kill, killed pod, map showed 2 kills and 1 pod :)
Looking at map ship/pod kills, the U-Q fight = 42 pods , therefore assume 84 ship loss's still leaves a lot of ships not accounted for

Erm dude, you CA guys should really stop the "but we came out on top in kill ratio" bull**** :) When an opposing force warps in on you, you can get a nice headstart of 10-ish Battleships because you have insta-coordination and they have insta-lag.
In the last 3 weeks, before I left Celestial Horizon, CLS lost 2 BS while killing 12 CA BS. Ofcourse this was in single gankings. It's just to illustrate the relativity of killratios :) Yes, I can give you some vids / screenies to back it up, but given those vids are full of propaganda it would only put more flames in here :)
If you really want to, check my in-game bio for the lastest FRAPS creation :)

I find it funny that CA takes pride in getting attacked by 3 alliances. CA consists of 70+ corps right now with more then 3000 members in total so they have about the same amount of members as the other 3 all together.

EVE contains more than 4000 corporations with atleast 10 - 20 members in it, so in total EVE should have 40000-80000 players playing a night. - - -

Probably the biggest battle in Eve so far?
AHAHAHAHAHA u have no idea how much thebold was cursing about being jammed in that battle. He must of sat there for a good 20+ mins trying to lock people.
All we could hear on TS was his voice "FFS i carnt lock a f*kin thing here, im getting really p*ssed off now"
LOL
LOL I had at least 2 damps on him the whole fight when ever I warped in was wondering if it was having any effect seeing as he didnt warp out.

That was awesome, just some lag probs, but who cares! I'm proud of my Curse Alliance, i felt it comes time for withdraw only when Xetic jump it...till that moment, we were all ready to fight till death to achieve victory, but u know: less lag and 20 shiny battleship coming in the battlefield was too much after more that 1 hour of deep intense close combat!! Anyway, without enemies we have no war, so many compliments to all the factions that take part at this great event!!

Let's enjoy the moment. Let's remember the perfect silence, a few minutes before the battle broke out!

lol you would probably be suprised. I know there were lot's of CA people going back to curse in pod's then bringing back any old ship they could to continue the fighting.
i think some people went threw a couple of frig's each. what spoiled the battle for me was the stain/atuk people camping the gates inbetween U-Q and HLW waiting for pod's and damaged ship's passing threw.
i was going back to hlw in my pod with insta jumps and there was like 7 atuk spread out in various system's that seemed to be waiting for easy kill's it looked that way but im not exactly sure.
theres no honour in waiting at gates for pod's its like spawn camping in counter strike or some other game. on one of the pictures you can see "sassi" typing in the stain gang chat. "i will just camp the other gates waiting for pod's and other damaged ship's"

3 alliances and ATUK
And yes it's something to be proud of, being in an alliance that is so powerful, it takes 3 other alliances (although it would appear that the 3rd fleet to come help SA consisted of CFS and BA, so 4 ?) and a mercenary ( ) corp with their combined might to take us on.

That isnt the point... CA is by far the biggest alliance number wise, and is probably got more members than xetic, sa put together. CA was forced to retreat from the battle yesterday kills are pointless all alliances can afford to replace 20-30 battleships which both sides lost roughly. The point is have CA declared more wars than they can handle? (this isnt a flame) it will be interesting to see, but we wont find out until shiva when player alliances can actually properly claim regions of space with player stations. Looks like a great battle but please can we leave kill counts its clear both sides took casualties and its clear neither care that much they had fun!!

Actually, in EVE i'd say kills are more important then anything. U-Q is a border system with no stations, and it is constantly camped by SA. Taking the field in EVE is certienly a small victory, but the losses we inflicted on SA/Xetic?ATUK/Others more then makes up for the temporary loss of control over a single system.
As for us being involved in to many wars, I'd like to remind you we just fought 3 alliances and several independent corporations simultaniously and came out on top in battleship kills (As confirmed by Aeryn Sun in this very thread). The CA will not cave under the pressure, and it will only serve to strengthen us.

Originally by: C4w3 Well some pointers to the BIG battle regarding losses and confirming kills.
1, CA fought VS 3 alliances, (So Xtic keep that in mind when confirming kills losses please) Olyyy i thought you should know that better then anyone?
2, The numbers to me was around 25-28 lost non CA BS, (Not included the numerous ships we killed in HLW and u-q afterward)
15 CA BS Confirmed.
As i usualy say the truth will reveal itself in the end right?
And as a final statment, For the ctd pilots i have an idea a lost connection flagging, then you can ask yourself is this right?

Well frankly, that's none of my business . I only reported the exact ship losses of XIF for the battle. Something neither CA or SA seems able to do Of course XIF fleet was smaller, only 22 in gang.
I didn't announce any kills or anything, no intention to flame here.
So I don't really understand your answer about the heroism of CA outnumbered by 3 alliances... Neither the part about your kill list... Like I said, I only gave the losses for XIF. so your heroism, kills etc... That is not my problem
Galaga (Galaxian - XIF corp) And yes, Olyyy is on our KOS list so she enjoys stirring the "flames" ( 2004.05.25 ) |

Eh, it gets pretty damn complicated when trying to assess total kills/losses including the hours of "afterbattle". We estimate we killed 35ish enemy battleships total yesterday in various engagements. Thats 28 in the initial battle and something like 10 afterwards.
We lost around 15 BS in the initial battle then an unknown number around 6 to 10 afterwards. All I know about the smaller engagements is we usually got 1 or 2 battleship kills per melee and occassionally lost one in the process.
None of these numbers are exact, and are just general numbers. I also have no clue about numbers from today, as I'm at work atm.

Last nights fight was the first major encounter that I have been in. It was, without a doubt, the most fun experience I have ever had in EvE.
I salute ALL of the pilots in last night's battle, no matter thier alliances.
As for personal kills, I think I killed 2 Interceptors and 2 Rifters, very hard to confirm due to the lag (one definate Rifter kill though). I made it out of the battle with only 43% structure left.
Brilliant night.
