Edited by: Core Bash on 30/06/2004 06:08:45 Great fight, blah blah blah it's all been said. (Really, good fun though.)
But how in God's name did a rifter lay the final blow on my scorp with a cruise missile 45 minutes into the battle? I would have figured if it was loaded pre-patch he would have fired it at the first 20 some odd ships in the previous quarter of an hour.
Name: Boll (laid the final blow) Security Status: 0.0 Corporation: Hegemonic Core Ship Type: Rifter Weapon Type: Paradise Cruise Missile I
OMG Pr00f that Xantek/Strain/ATRUK CHEETZOR!11

Whatever, I loved the fight. Torpedo explosions were echoing around my ship 10 minutes after my pod warped out, crazy lag, even crazier battle. Rock on.
Edit: The names of the alliances have been OBVIOUSLY changed to protect the innocent. á

i think its a bug, one of our guys had a pod in the list that killed him...
so i guess the question is, who has the tech2 death dealing pods
I picked up this ace book today everyone rates it as a must buy for the budding military genius, tho ive decided to rename it as "Sun Tzu's art of the bloody obvious" |

Why is CA talking like they took on 3 alliances like its something cool.
Afterall we forced them to call in C4 and FE when we fought them.
So for those wondering CA has sub alliances, well alliance at least since I am not sure about FA and if they are active and under CA¦s command.

Omni, this thread is about CA vs SA/XIF/CFS (and friends)/ and whoever else was there. This in NO WAY involves m0o so your flaming posts are not needed. If you want to post things like sass, fine, thats all cool with me but dont put your nose where it doesnt belong, and dont take this thread off topic and turn it into a flame fest. this thread has been realativly civil, (as civil as can be expected for a 10 page long thread with 2 alliances posting on it that hate eachothers guts)
Now back to the topic.
Im still mad i missed this fight.....and i had fun on Teamspeak last night with everyone talkin about it....
small part of convo on TS (from memory)
USS Omaha - Ah dont worry bout it Shiwan, it wasnt that fun. Does that make you feel any better? Shiwan - No USS Omaha - Oh...well then it was fun as hell Xirtam - HAHA Poor Shi....

w00t we got our name in Italics, cheers Jaabaa.
TBH we dont have that many playing atm for a number of reasons (Euro 2004, bugged patch, b0rk3d turret tracking etc etc) but when we heard through the grapevine there was gonna be a battle of these proportions we just had to get in on it and always will do.
Gotta say Im a little flattered that Redon seems to think we are somehow commanding these '3' alliances that are attacking you and can simply click our fingers and call them again for a repeat performance for you. As it stands though we dont even really talk with any of CA's other foe's and do our own thing. Sometimes we'll gang with someone if its convient but tbh I'd shoot down CFS ships and most others given half the chance
I know y'all like your conspiracy theories though
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

I must say that was the best fleet battle i have been in to date(other then the greatest lag i have ever had :/). But many thx to all for a good clean fight and the lack of all the nasty smack in local, then again think we were all preoccupied with fighting. This battle has showed the need for support ships in the form of frigates and cruisers. I was in a crow and i must saw frigate combat is pretty intense not to bs slug feats i am used to. But great fun and hopefully we can do it all again very soon. When we die God's job is to judge us..........My job is to arrange that meeting

I salute ALL of the pilots in last night's battle, no matter thier alliances.
As for personal kills, I think I killed 2 Interceptors and 2 Rifters, very hard to confirm due to the lag (one definate Rifter kill though). I made it out of the battle with only 43% structure left.
Brilliant night.
I can confirm you got an assist on one interceptor (grumbles) about 45seconds before CA jumped out as well dammit! Good fight though - I thought I had you when your structure went so low, but Stocker decided to target me as well and the pair of you got my Claw. I still got 1 interceptor, 2 frigates and an assist on a blackbird before I did a goose though .
Excellent fight once it loaded, and for whats its worth, here is another screenie, might need to turn the brightness up to see the mobile warp disruptors though because the pic turned out really dark for some reason
GG to all involved.

Edited by: Sochin on 30/06/2004 15:15:38 C4 and CA are virtually indistinqushable. We work together at the closest levels and share command in many cases. I haven't heard Duke use the phrase "C4" in ages, he just says CA. Besides, its extremely likely the most or all of the C4 corps that participated in the battle hold a dual membership, C4 AND CA.
C4 is like Puerto Rico, part of a larger entity, but still with a degree of autonomy. And they don't pay federal income taxes, the bastards.

Ya gotta see that when thats ture LOL
I'm so confused... So if a chicken and a half lays an egg and a half in a day in a half, how long will it take a grasshopper to grow a wooden leg to kick the seeds out ofa dill pickle?

I picked a really bad week to go back to empire for some ship replacement mining. :(

Another HLW fight today : SA/XETIC vs CA, around 15 - 20 a side.
1st fight: Fairly even, SA possibly having the edge on kills but CA taking the field, maybe 2 - 3 BS kills each side, CA losing a LOT of frigs.
2nd Fight: SA/Xetic misjudges warp in, and come in in the center of the CA fleet, we by now had reinforcements (an extra 5 BS from zonerS), and the SA / XETIC fleet was dismembered for no losses. I believe a further 4 - 8 kills (hard to tell, they were going so fast) for no BS losses.
