P.s I've had 100% perfect skills for the Blasterthron for the last two years, I've exclusively flown the ship solo for 3 years, most of it in Curse, you don't come remotely near 1100 dps at that range.

Yeah, your right about the dps at that range, but you still get ok dps from that range from large blasters.

Maybe they're just making general statements and not arguments. Perhaps they're comments intended to be helpful suggestions!

Alternatively, maybe you just dislike their arguments because you can't counter them or structure tank your spine to follow their advice?

Relax a bit, get some perspective, take a deep breath. Take a walk in the park.

Game balance issues always have existed, in all games, between all races/classes etc, it always will exist. And in EVE, having a character all maxed out (or near) will never be bad. I have 3 years training into Amarr and for more than half of that time we sucked - in general. But at a certain point/amount of skillpoints I got useful. Then we had the buff that sorted things out, that was just icing on the cake. I'm sure one day we will be on the bottom of the foodchain again, and frankly I don't care, the amount of sp I put into my class will always make me useful.

This is what I keep saying but nobody listens to me. Probably because I don't fly battleships .

Gank Thorax will still be just as good as it always was though (like you said, MWD in range, then scram and web), and people might stop laughing at my rail Vexor.

As for Ravens and their massive DPS, from what I've read torps are getting massivly nerfed against sub-BS sized targets (along with a rebalancing of all missiles that makes them faster but do a lot less damage to smaller size class targets). So it seems, with that in mind, that that 1100 DPS Raven will be doing a whole lot less than 1100 DPS to pack of BCs, or even cruisers.

I think when the dust settles battleships will end up a lot like caps are now - kinda crappy without support of smaller vessels.
