2)PS: 150 people posting in a thread is not enough wehn you condier over 200K active subscriptions. while your opinion is valued, it is not valued over everyone else's.
1) Look in the Assembly parts of the forums
Currently
1582 AGAINST NANO NERF (votes) 785 FOR NANO NERF (votes)
Which is the 2 to 1 hes talking about.
2) Until it is mandatory to vote, figures smaller the 200k are proportionaly high.
1585 people is the strongest support by far ANY issue has ever had in the CSM. Issues which have had 100 supports have been brought to the CSM, then CCP, hen actioned by CCP so CCP have established they think a couple of hundred votes is a significant amount (let alone 1500)
Unfortunately, what "you and your mates think" is irrelevant unless you vote for or against.

I wonder how many of the subscribers who actually bothers reading the whine threads on the forums. Something tells me the nano whiners are a groups of well....whiners with nothing better to do because they are lazy at pvp.
and your just a lame forum troll who likes to stir nationalist sentiment to make people spew internet tough-talk, what's your point?

Pfft. I never flew nano ships as I hate the concept. Felt like cheating to me. So a big "Yay!" for the nerf here.

Originally by: 4nic8 I had a character called viqtoria (look for them on forums, then try to ingame...), after some of the recent ****zle (the repeated lying over ghost training, the bizzzzarrrre reasoning over GTC changes, WoW-esk game rebalancing, countless other serious issues with a 5 year old game, etc) and my feeling that ccp just ain't up to it, I deleted them. full +5 implants, 5% hardwirings, billions of isk and assets all given away and gone.
Good for you. One account, that's really going to hurt CCP's wallet What assets your character built up is totally irrelevant, you could have owned every isk in the game but you're still only paying for one account.
Ghost training doesn't affect me as my account has always been active except for my 6 month break in my early days. At that time, the longest training time would only have been a few days.
GTC changes got me a bit miffed cos now I have to budget for 3 months of game time from one months wages. The stealth price increase wasn't an issue because the price hasn't increased for years so it was on the cards anyway (excuse the pun), although CCP should have been a bit more open and admitted the increase in price.
Game rebalancing can be done without nerfs though. It's bad to train for ages to get something just to have it nerfed from under you. New toys to counter rather than nerfs would appeal to everyone. Those who have trained will not have wasted their training and those who gripe about overpowered stuff will have something to counter them with. Although there are often already ways to counter them if people thought about it more, the nano corp that wardecced us gave up after losing nearly every nano ship they put up against us.
My only real gripe is the lack of resources (ore etc) and slots in highsec, the lack of nullsec space for new alliances to make their home in and the resulting overcrowding of highsec.
Lag caused by overcrowding wouldn't be so much of a problem if the amount of nullsec space was significantly increased. The problem is that it has never really increased by any significant amount since the game was first created but the population has more than doubled since I first started playing. However, the existing unused nullsec space that could be home to many new alliances is blocked by the alliances who control the bottlenecks to it. Sov has now made their control over these bottlenecks almost impregnable.

hmmm you miss my point, i quit playing because for me it's no longer worth playing, infact i am done with mmos altogether - they're a horrible waste of time - but I put my isk where my mouth was which is something I wish more would do other than endlessly whine. It's ashtonishing to see so many grown men whining like they do here, wtf is up with that...
oooh and it's 3 accounts (2 used ghost training to ease the strain on my isk as they never did much active stuff, just exploring different paths), to imply a company that through it's own actions/inactions/baldface lying is not getting my money (and many others) via subs or bought GTCs doesn't hurt it is perverse, of course it hurts them! but that's not on my agenda.

I really don't get it. As the game is now (with a bit of a reduced maximal possible speed modifier) you just need to add some specialized webbers to a gang, and everything is fine. You know, rapiers and huginns and sometimes even hyenas work in most situations...
OH NOES! A mandatory shiptype!
So what? Just see where this will be going with falcons and arazus |

Great idea MD, and in the same vein, for the OP.
Wonder how many we can squeeze out of this one?

I recall reading that the rule used in U.S. federal class action suits is that each person in the suit represents about 1,500 others who didn't step forward.
It was 150 pages, not 150 ppl, but even if 150 ppl and the U.S. rule were applicable, those 150 voicing their opinion would actually represent 225,000 ppl.
Say the 150 pages were actually made by only 50 different ppl, and say that instead of being representative of 1500 each, they were only representative of 300 each... that would still be 15,000 people, and that could be as much as $225,000 per month, or $2.7 million per year.

Is it possible to create alt's trials to 'beat' the voting system?
there are some easy ways to explain the figure as those anti nano-nerf are:
a) more likely to vote as they have strong feelings in preserving their method of semi exploitive combat, then the ordinary person, who has not experienced many nanos, or does not feel passionately enough about the issue to bother casting a vote.
b) most of the eve forum residents are pvpers, or think they are very tough people. Pvpers re more likely to vote against the nerf, as it gives them an advantage over those who do not pvp as much, so the voter base is also mildly skewed.

well for a start...
1.ccp just caved in because too many carebears started whining. Proof you say? well the nano issue has been around for aaaages when it was a big problem with 0.0 warfare ccp didnt bat an eyeli...however when fw came out and the carebears started whining ccp caved in. 2.ccp has no moderation when it comes to nerfing its either totally nerfed or totally buffed 3.nanos are just as easy to combat as other types of fighting (blobbing, spider tanking (which is imba), smartbomb gangs. Its just that the carebears feel that just because someone spent 5 bil on pimping out a crow (implants and all) they shouldnt have an advantage over someone in a 50mil drake.

Get it?
The 15,000 figure is based on the total population of the USA, and thus can NOT be correlated in any way to the population of eve, which is far less numerous (200K vs 200 mill). plus. I think they are reresentative of less than 300 each, and even if it were 300 they would not all be quiting, an many would be opposed, but adapt quite quickly. i think in eve there would be a far smaller ratio of people who do not express themselves, as there are alot of whiners in this game.

YAY THE NANO***S ARE QUITTING!!!! YAAAAYYY honestly i hope they all quit! it will help this game immensly. i mean seriously. i noticed a serious shift in the mentality of eve players about 2 years ago. its like all the asshats who played counterstrike and ruined it... then bf2 and ruined it finally discovered EVE. it was around the time of the NANOPHOON. and it just seemed to get progressivly worse. seriously guys. grow up. quit being such cry babies. there are other ways to pvp. adapt move on. Fly an interceptor if ya like speed.

I love the nano nerf simply because of the amount of tears and ragequit posts it's generating. It's like low-sec piracy, but on the forums. Awesome
As for subscription losses, I guess we'll see after the patch. I have a feeling that, as usual, the ragequitters will quietly skulk back to whatever they were doing until there's another bandwagon they can jump on and whine about.
Please, more tears.

And there was me thinking it was in the vein of stabs and nos...you know the fact that it was sso wide spread and one t the easir waysd to counter it was to do the damm same thing...you know the entire unblanced thing...
Since the problem started when they changed some mods and it became so much easir to nano ships, problem is being fixed. |
