My first and last time being screwed over on EVE...Now I find myself wanting to be the bad guy just to prove a point? Is this the goal of EVE I wonder? To the one....or entity i should say that scammed me: My combat pilot is now active again and I'm selling EVERYTHING carebear on my accounts. Characters included. Good luck, I now have lots and lots of cash, time, and anger at my disposal....

I should also refer back to whoever said "you'll be back" because I hate to admit your right. Oh and keep being assholes guys, I have lots n lots of bullets as well as room on my "who's next list" :)

For those who are unaware, the typical GÇ£carebearGÇ¥ argument goes that someoneGÇÖs avatar is an in game extension of themselves. As a general rule, people adopting this stance bring their real life morals into the game and expect everyone else to play by what they perceive the rules of the game to be. They tend work within the rules of the monopoly-sandbox to create and to build. To them, IGÇÖm unable to hide behind the name GÇ£Liang NurenGÇ¥ when I suicide gank their hulk in high sec. To them, I become a morally bankrupt terrorist with no purpose in life save to destroy years of someone elseGÇÖs hard work. To them, I was simply fulfilling my deepest, darkest, most twisted fantasies of achieving power and ultimate control over my fellow human. They fully believe that I would do depraved and unspeakable things in person to real people if given the opportunity and a reasonable guarantee of a lack of personal consequence.

However, I do not believe this to be the case. Its simply that one of the most basic skills of Eve Online is discerning what is real vs what is not real. People who are not capable of this distinction are frequently at extreme odds with the community as a whole and are frequently encouraged to leave the community. They tend not to stay long GÇô both because of self selection and constant encouragement. Really, I think this is for the best all around because I donGÇÖt want to be anywhere near someone who isnGÇÖt able to personally distinguish between what is real and what isnGÇÖt. Just because I blew up your 80 billion ISK / $4,000 USD Titan doesnGÇÖt mean that you should make it your real lifeGÇÖs work to destroy mine GÇô by virtue of destroying my professional career or killing me/my family/my dog. Its just that us building things and blowing up each otherGÇÖs ships is part of the game and not any more interesting to the real life law than me stealing your hotel in our game of monopoly GÇô even if you paid for it with real life dollars (bad you).

Now on to what you said just now....There's really no way of telling if the person that just scammed you/ganked you is morally bankrupt though, and that argument doesn't really make sense to me. Yes most stable minded adults can manage to roleplay, but what about those who aren't taking that standpoint? If they can get away with being a thief, liar, etc. on EVE whats to stop them from moving that into their real life (if it isn't there already)? I'm probably going to have more than just a few choice words for the guy that scammed me if i find him trying to break into my house next week. Also what does that say about me after just being scammed and deciding to turn to the bad guy...? The wonderful world of psychology :)

Don't you care for any of the context behind it? Not to mention I've already admitted my stupidity in investing all my isk and ships into a fairytale. Whats the point of posting if only to troll? :P Coming back with a vengeance btw if you failed to read.

The usual recruitment scheme....put too much faith in the fact that it was TEST, and that's where I was wrong. Bigger isn't always better/safer :P.

Hmmmm my last forum post ever on the EVE forums this should be interesting. I leave now after being cleaned out through stupidity on my part mainly, but more so the pure greed seen in almost every EVE player. I'm so sick of the scams, spam, and beggars it makes me sick. Take a step back from EVE and all you see is big entities walking over everyone else with complete disregard. I just resubbed to come back to EVE and have a good time and in less than 3 days its over. I'm glad this happened actually, it opened my eyes and made me realize this game is just something to laugh at. Get out while you can :P
