I have a question about the hulk.
how much m3 can you hold if you have 3 cargo optimizer tech 2s on your hulk right now im just useing tech 2 cargo expanders

I have 2 T1 optimizations rigs as its a T2 ship im pretty sure you can only have 2 rigs.
I have 17199.1 m3 with 2 T2 expanders and 2 T1 cargo rigs.could get about 19k m3 with T2 rigs probably.

This setup is great for semi afk mining, tho I use two T2 Mining upgrades ina gang for max yield.

hey,
i solo mine in my hulk so i run cargo expanders (T2) and T1 cargo expander rigs, not on eve atm so cant give percise figuers, try efitting it (at work :( )
it works out just over 19k cargo hold for me

Hulk only has 2 Rig Slots.
Max is a little over 17K with 2 T1's and Cargo Expander II's |

2x Cargohold Optimization I, whateverinlow: 10,580m3
2x Cargohold Optimization I + 2x Expanded Cargohold II: 17,199m3
2x Cargohold Optimization II + whateverinlow: 11,520m3
2x Cargohold Optimization II + 2x Expanded Cargohold II: 18,727m3
..according to EFT. It should be correct however, like some guys posted above, I have my alts Hulk with two t1 rigs and it's at 17,199.something. Guessing the rest figures should be correct then as well.

If you carry GSC's, the effective cargo capacity is increased by 4500 m3.

Adding six giant cans might boost your cargo by 5400m3 but it'll also significantly degrade your ability to mine, especially AFK mine, unless you deploy them and that, especially in low/no-sec, is way more trouble than its worth.
5 cans should be the practical limit unless you can squeeze out at least enough m3 for one full cycle of your strip miners at maximum yield, and perhaps drone hauling as well.

Is it just me, or are the rigs barely worth it? And the tech 2 ones are definitely not worth it.

Tech II rigs are not worth it under any circumstances (they cost over 300 mill each!), but tech I's (at 35 mil each) are worth it if the hulk is going to spend most of it's mining time in low/null sec mining solo.
If its mining in High sec, just Jetcan and grab an indy, if its in a mining op then there will be indys there for you to use

The significant advantage to high cargo capacity in high sec empire is the ability to completely disregard can flippers.

exactly, once I get into my Impel (Tech II indy) I can swallow 1 3/4 Jetcans in one go
