Instead of relying on forums for feedback ccp should have mandatory questionaires to be filled out before you are allowed to login.
So after someone logs in the survey for that day is loaded and must be completed before continuing.
Everyone should be forced to have an informed voice in game design.
Discuss. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

The purpose of democracy (Even a pretend-democracy in a terrible internet spaceship game) isn't for "everyone" to have a "voice", it's so you can replace leaders without bloody murder all the time. Or constant Jita riots or whatever. Everything else included in the Democracy Package is just a bonus, really. |

Questionaires are flawed really. They can be worded to get the answers that the questioner wants and give that we are talking about a company here I do think they have people with the smarts to do this, or hire them.
You can not force someone to give an opinion, s just to be cantancerous they may give one that would cause disaster to the game. Though you could but a CBA option at the top and so let them bypass it altogother, or a notice saying you have the option to take part in one and allowing people to decline. |

Didn't DAoC used to do this? I loved that system, personally. Mittani discussing, long before the alcohol, what his panel will be about. It is entitled "Goonswarm Hates You".-á Enjoy! Massive waste of time.
People enter game, sometimes they get an EULA blurb they hastily scroll to the end and click OK.
Add questionnaires and they will fill an "X" in every required field (or even use a bot to do that!) and then press OK. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

Avoid multiple choice and require short answer/essay form. Regex can be used to prevent other abuses. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

If this was an idea - and I am not convinced that it even qualifies as such - it should be in the ideas forum.
Other than that, it's already gone 1st April. I can only read your post as an attempted joke. It is a terrible idea.

Do I have to make a serious post to this idiocy?
Game design is not about ticking boxes. Not everything can be resolved with black and white choices.
The sentiment and understanding of systems with regards to different playstyles, crossover of use, or different degrees of preference means that games design follows an evolutionary process trying to bring in as many voices as possible in a dialouge that not only aids to provide understanding but follows a debate to a "collective" resolution that even may end up not being a pre-determined solution to begin with.
This is why I favour CCP's openess to discuss things with us in Blogs. And especially moreso after recommendations following incarna.
(CCP also do occasionaly send out feedback questionairres, but that is to gauge wether they are on the money.) Bounty Hunting for CSM7

Such things can be put ingame without mucking up what you want to do and when. Concord bulletin board links CQ TV links Agents in space at random gates you can talk to for links.
CCP can easily dress it up in a RP way so its less intrusive. |

Don't understand the sarcasm. If its the irony I believe the OP's debate to be idiotic, I have explained why. Therefore its a substantiated claim why I think so and not censorship.
You can of course disagree with what I say.
[sarcasm]After all an insular multiple choice process to EVE design would certainly be simpler from both players and CCP's standpoint.
In fact I suggest we leave it to CCP creating limited choice, placing them in a field, then having a cow enter the field and eventually whereever it first craps the proposal closest wins.[/sarcasm] Bounty Hunting for CSM7

Bad idea, you think the forums have been bad now? You don't force people to participate and expect a positive response.
That being said, CCP needs to take a serious look at an INGAME voting system.
Want feedback on an upcoming change. Post a vote, with timelimits, send an Eve-mail, and add a simple voting interface that anyone in game can click on and vote. This is not a replacement for voting out of game, it's an addition. If over 50% of the players never visit the forums, how the heck did you think you were going to get them to navigate to that webpage to vote?
Who knows, you might get more than 10% of the players to vote next year CCP....

The OP has a point. The few surveys that CCP has posted in the past was a start. Unfortunately those could be easily manipulated. The pop up link box on the log in screen also helps a little but since it's usually just an ad for PLEX or Magazine sales, most players probably don't even really look at it anymore.
I've always thought that surveys and CSM vote should be done on a screen that loads up right after the log in screen and when completed, has the character selection screen load. Of course it can only be completed once per account. Have it short and sweet, easily completed within a few minutes with an option to [Opt Out]. Basically it would be check boxes [yes] [no] [neutral] along with a small [comments] box for those that want to add a bit more input. If the [Opt Out] is selected, there should be a pop up box requesting confirmation with a small message informing the player they forfeit the right to voice their opinion.
There's a lot of players that don't browse the forums and most probably rarely ever look at the news listed in the character selection screen. Something like this would definitely bring it to all players attention allowing them the option to be involved or not.
