Hey all, o7
One of my corp mates has gone and made an arse of himself, and claimed he was the alt of some uber-toon that pilots caps. Now this was all just for bragging and fun, but somehow the name of the uber-toon he picked was an ACTUAL uber toon, and now he's demanding we pay him 100mil EVERY WEEK for the rest of our lives or he'll wardec us until he pods every member of the corp 300 times. booting the idiot member isn't an option, what should we do?

Actually, if you hadn't made this post I think that he'd had left you alone after just a few poddings.

Is it just one guy? If so, no matter how Uber he is a group of newbies could own him with the right fleet composition. E-War is your friend and cap ships can't play in empire.

alright, he probably will get tired of us before he reaches the 300 pod mark...we just don't want slaughtered out there and wondered if there was a way to get around him without losing everything we own multiple times

1. Give your bragging corp mate a haulover and a kick behind! You dont need to fire him, but you also need to inform him that he is making all your life pretty hard!
2. When it comes to the real "uber toon". Fight him! Bring out those cheap frigates and the cheap modules! Band together and shoot back! Lots of cool things might come out of this: 1. your losses aint too bad! Frigates can be bought on wholesale for almost nothing! 2.) you get PvP experience! 3.) the "uber-toon" will after a while tire.
Ofcource you could always run and hide, but that will just make it more fun for the "uber-toon" who can trace you all by agents etc. So if he is not accepting the appology. bring out the guns! And maybe something cool can turn out of this incident! A good fight!

Or, the more simple solution...
1: Boot the loudmouth asshat who got you into this situation in the first place.
I don't see why this wouldn't be an option unless the loudmouth asshat was your ceo's alt, in which case you should just leave the corp and take as many members/corp assets with you as possible.

the guy threatning you with a war dec is bluffing, if he tries it, and its jsut him, and you have more members than him....you see where im going with this? jsut the him to bugger off and if he does war dec you, well, get some ecm and a ****load of battleships

If I had an ISK for every time some gasbag threatened me with a perma-wardec and didn't come through I'd be losing more titans than Shrike. Well, not this body "I", but anyhoo.
If by some miracle he DOES come through you can use some of the strategies outlined here. Other fun ones:
Take him on a tour of lowsec and 0.0. Fit something like an executioner or slasher for agility, warp off just as you see him on overview. Then head to scenic Tama. And swing up to EC-P8R and points northward.
Log the entire corp on in a system. Then go out to eat. Every night.
Fit lots of griffins with ECM vs his racial ship type. Make him warp off or log from a bunch of newbies in frigates.
Your clones are cheap, frigates are free. In fact, if you spam 'warp to' button in overview as your ships enter structure you shouldn't lose pods.
Have fun, he's paying to provide you guys with a learning experience!

First you should seek some proof, maybe a screen shoot of both accounts loged on at the same time.
Option 1) Just tell him to have his uber-toon or what ever join your corp. Then go take over some 0.0 land and pay after that (if you really want)
Option 2) Have your corp join his uber alliance (I assuming he is in one) go live in 0.0 land and pay him.
Option 3) Don't pay him anything, boot him, and go on with your eve life. If there is a perma dec then just join an alliance or reform the corp or whatever.

Sure you can get around him, just keep moving and keep an eye out. Check local, don't undock with him around if you don't have someone watching the station, log out in space so that you don't end up trapped in a station. Move your operations to another part of the galaxy for a while. If he follows you move again. Spread your guys out. You'll figure it out, plenty of people can survive it. Fact is, five characters with five months of skills should be able to take down an uber toon anyways. Look at it as a learning experience.

B. If booting the member isn't the option leave the corp with the member behind in it to form a new corp without him.
C. If you must stick with the idiot fight the person he tried to impersonate. Quite frankly though he got himself into the situation and you shouldn't take down the entire corp for one person's stupidity.
