Pieman's comedic genious shines through once again with his choice of the Benny Hill theme song as accompanyment. Looks like eveyone had a good laugh on that one.
This was almost as funny as the NCA taranis that got killed by a PA Badger last night. (sorry, no fraps)

Ok, now a tactical breakdown of the attack. Despite all the fun we had this could have beena very serious attack. Some of this is speculation based on what I would have done so I can't be certain its true.
pro:
- fast, they moved very fast, stayed ahead of the map
- despite no battleships I assume it was a wel balanced fleet with several blackbirds. Their goal was to hit a mining op fast so the blackbirds had ecm to disable the guards while the frigates went to kill the haulers and miners.
- decent scouting
con:
- bad intel: i have been using a bomberthron for several weeks now so someone should have thought about the possibility
- bad intel: right before the attack a frigate warped into the belt at range and scouted our positions. He had time to note the positions and should have seen i was exactly at the exit point from the gate where they would be coming from.
- bad maneuver: they almost all warped in at exactly the same spot. If it were battleships its not a huge problem but frigates, for various reasons should warp in from different directions
All in all, if this was not a faked mining op (we knew you were coming :) ) you would definitely have done serious damage. It was also a bold attack and ended up being hilarious so I applaud you for that.
