But could never understand how hulks in 0.5 could be attacked in the first place. I have heard of gate camps, but that is a completely different dynamic. Jita Beer, cool, cold, green, and clear.

First, there are no place in EVE you are 100% sure. Not even in High sec, which includes 1.0 to 0.5. You can be attacked directly. This is called unconsentual pvp. However the attacker will be shot down by concord as a result of attacking you. Getting away from concord is also deemed a bannable offence, so if the attacker gets away with his ship after attacking you you can report that to CCP who will investigate it, and take appropriate actions. Now, since an attack in high sec leads to concord retailiation, killers have many ways to get what they want. IF its your loot they can use suicideattacks. That is to kill you anyway, but bring in a different ship to pick up the loot you drop, while the attacker gets shot by concord. That is allowed. Another thing is can-flipping. That is to flip cans the miners mine in, and when the miner picks up the ore they turn red to the flipper, and they can freely shoot the miner. So yes, there are many ways to get around concord sanctions. Back to your question abouot safty. No. There are no safe place anywhere in EVE, but you have a relative high safy if you take some precautions: Like mining far away from crowded systems. A goon sneaking into the station in his pajamas and suicide bombing your ship while your eating your regular "Jita sandwich(tm)" concord will only react by destroying the entire station, and all players docked inside. Pretty logical. Jita Beer, cool, cold, green, and clear.

If you got a lot friends you can pop anything anywhere. yes I know that,what I don't know is how many seconds between first strike and being concorded ? a freighter has about 150K total HP ? if concorde gives you 10 seconds you need 15000 dps ? around 18 to 25 ships,depending on type ?

Pretty much every battlecruiser(except the drake/cyclone), any battleship, possibly even a thorax... There's a lotta mean stuff, but unless you're loaded with amazing mods, there's nothing to worry about.

Now Concord will hang around for a bit while you dock your alts pod. When Concord eventually disperse, bring out your alt in his shiny new freebie noobship and repeat. With Concord floating about right beside you, nobody is going to try to suicide gank you. Just remember that this doesn't protect you from can flippers, only suicide gankers. -- There's a simple difference between kinky and perverted. Kinky is using a feather to get her in the mood. Perverted is using the whole chicken.
