Nope 0.0 is safest space to mine in eve when owned by your allliance. http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0810/lie.jpg guide ninja edited already

Stay away from systems near main travel routes. Ombey's maps will let you find a number of dead-end systems that are off the beaten path.
Amarr space (Domain, Kador, Kor-Azor) are thinly populated in many areas. Jihad-Storm and other gankers usually find plenty of fresh meat in populated areas without having to venture into the hinterland.
Its not 100% safe, but close to it in my estimation.

Originally by: Niccolado Starwalker Getting away from concord is also deemed a bannable offence, so if the attacker gets away with his ship after attacking you you can report that to CCP who will investigate it, and take appropriate actions.
IFAIK, doing such using a cyno (in a Black Ops) was an exploit 'till they did something with it. As it changed? Not sure, but I don't think getting away by your own means (warping off) is an exploit.

Let me pipe in with some valuable information...
I personally have killed hulks in up to 0.8 sec status level systems, using characters no older than 30 days, so no it's not 100% safe. Don't use what you can't afford to lose.

Your ship will be perfectly safe. Perfectly safe. It is built so that even if the ship does break up, the storage holds cannot possibly be breached.

NO ITS NOT SAFE... BE AFRAID... look to the sky THERE BE DRAGONS... or smarbombing BS looking for a blob of hulks and covetors all sitting together. Warp in, activate overloaded smartbombs and watch the fireworks. Instant -10 sec status when you kill a bunch of pods... but SOOOO worth it.

It's definitely a bannable offense, I'll see if I can find a link. ----------------------------------------

Read the first two rules in the thread here Golden Rules, which is stickied in the newcomers section. The first two rules say it pretty clearly.
Concord is there to punish, not protect.
The only way your safe from aggression is in a station.

yes, that is what I'm asking.. Remember some talk about goons. But could never understand how hulks in 0.5 could be attacked in the first place. I have heard of gate camps, but that is a completely different dynamic.
Yes, it's 100% safe.

The story of the butterfly
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to squeeze its body through the tiny hole. Then it stopped, as if it couldn't go further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bits of cocoon. The butterfly emerged easily but it had a swollen body and shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch it, expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge and expand enough to support the body, Neither happened! In fact the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around. It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand: The restricting cocoon and the struggle required by the butterfly to get through the opening was a way of forcing the fluid from the body into the wings so that it would be ready for flight once that was achieved.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. Going through life with no obstacles would cripple us. We will not be as strong as we could have been and we would never fly.
So have a nice day and struggle a little and teach well.

If you are mining in the same system, nay, region, as Chribba, pack up your mining lasers, and go play with the exotic dancers at the nearest pleasure hub. Remember, all your Veldspar are belong to Chribba!
Seriously, I mine regularly in 0.5, just watch local, and be aware of can flippers if you jetcan mine. Use drones for protection from rat spawns, but only deploy them when the rats appear/attack. Anyone who attacks you will feel the wrath of CONCORD, but as an added safety measure, stay align to a stargate, station, or celestial object.

Theres no such thing as "safe" in EVE. Unless of course you are mining in a deadspace tanked capital in a 1.0 security status system. ---------- /Pretty posting. |

First, there are no place in EVE you are 100% sure. Not even in High sec, which includes 1.0 to 0.5.
that's a lie "stations", but that's about it, try to figure out why some people are just looking at their ships in the station and never actually taking them out XD ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Originally by: Demitria Fernir Even mining in NPC corp with a rokh in 1.0 with t2 shield tanking is not safe.
Hence why my Rokh only had two miner IIs (to fool) and 6 Neutron Blasters with five T2 Med Drones and a Warp Scrambler Any thief with half a brain could deduce the Rokh was armed but when they see a jetcan it's like a moth to the flame. Poor thieves claiming I was abusing their canflipping...
You can mine in High-sec relatively safe, just make sure to keep a nice Invul II and a SSB with you.

If you are asking if 0.5 is 100% safe to mine in with a hulk the answer is no.
If you rounded that percentage up from 99.9*% and actually really meant 99.9*% safe, the answer is yes.
