Heh, so I went in to EveMon, and I crafted a skill plan that would end with me having trained every skill to V. And with my current skills (after training all learning skills to V and plugging in +5s) it would take...

And for your next trick, figure out how long it would take to research the Jump Portal Generator BPO to perfect :)
Then modify your will to support your character when you are gone.

Pretty sure back when I started in 04 someone said it would take 12 years...What with the new skills and stuff being introduced I can well believe it taking that long now.
Madness ! And in a few years time it will probably be 30+ ...If its still going of course

I just meant tounge in cheek that it was such a long time. Up until I played Eve I finished most games within a week or so...and after 4 years im still playing catch up.
Dont get me wrong I think its great and is exactly why I keep playing. Nothing has compared to it yet and it will be a long time before it does...just my opinion!

I think that all of those who say people that have more than 2 accounts are nuts have shutup after seeing that.
At least they will SEE 1/2 of what EVE is capable of with those 4 accounts :)... None of those who only stay with 1 will :(.
Im currently training a Trader / Miner account and a Missions / PvP account.
Eventually ill have to get into other aspects of Eve but i think that with these i have a hope of specializing and seeing what i'm actually capable of :/.
Oh yea, you didnt include the new Orca skillz did u :). + 50 Days :P

I think actually that due to t2 invention and so on, most ships have gone down in price since a few years ago, which would mean net deflation, which would mean he could probably buy a lot more than a cruiser with that much isk .

By the time you finish that, we will have Jove Titan V, the first level of which takes 4 weeks. The Jove Titan will be roughly the size of a planet and will kill everything in the solar system upon Doomsday activation.
EVE will not be fun in 30 years

How do you know what EVE will be in 30 years..? Could be something totally unimaginable and cool by todays standards.
I recommend you skip a few skills you might not need to shave a few years off.
