Its got lots of versatility due to drones, wont suffer from tracking issues since it can send drones on ppl. Overall its just good for almost any kind of encounter.

but srsly geddon / apoc / abaddon / domi / scorp / maelstrom(?) and probably raven anything that has ok-good tracking and a fairly good range should still be ok (read: not blasterboats)

there is no best bs. The only thing I can tell you that if I had to pick one it would certainly not be the mega ^^.

The Pest wasn't uber when I was on test - it was simply better than the Mega (which wasn't really saying alot with the web/speed changes!)
My money goes with the top 5 BS's:

Fly BS in gangs.
Your targets of choice, as a battleship pilot are naturally other battleships. The 'other battleships' you meet won't be solo, or will be a Dominix / Kronos+Falcon alt / Typhoon.
For gangs, use Geddon/Apocalypse/Abbadon/Scorpion/Raven (in some cirrumstances, but does not mesh with armour RR gangs well - in fact, worse post patch)/Mega (worse post patch ofc - but you can still use one if you really want to)/Logistics Dominix.

maybe you should stop posting. Sisi =/= tq, and unless the pilot is ******ed, a golem will bbq a tempest. that said, the best bs's will be the abaddon, geddon, domi, raven, and scorp. maybe the phoon, but meh, I don't fly the thing so no comment really.

You won't *find* a solo Golem. As with all marauders, it's insane to fly one without a Falcon alt, else a Griffin disables you - for good. Same with all other Marauders.
But yeah, like, multispec Tempests are awesome and all that jazz and like, really work great on TQ. Just like the host of lolAB HACs on SISI and all the other awesome SISI setups.

Maybe you should not be as dumb you are trying to be. If you want to know how the ships are in the new expansion, then WE HAVE TO TAKE STATS / FIGHTS FROM SISI, until the expansion hits TQ.
And saying a Golem will BBQ a Tempest is the proof that you don't know crap about Tempest.

Asking for a best BS shows you might want to rethink your approach to EvE.
There is no best, just best for a specific situation.
ALL the BS can be effective in situations if fit well.
By the way Marauders are not BS. They are Marauders, and cost near what a carrier does. Even if they are a bit better, no way am I flying one in a fleet as if you do, you will be the shiney target people would love to go for.
Compairing BS to Marauders is like asking what are good Battlecruisers and answering with a Command ship

I will assume you are looking at general purpose PvP.
I would put abaddon firmly in first place. 150-200K EHP and ~1000 DPS is hard to beat for overall awesomeness.
Domi and arma would fight for 2nd place, depending on what you want to do. Domi has awesome versatility and arma has enormous killing power for the ISK.

Best BS after patch? Domni and tempest. Neut + RR FTW. And both can do reasonable DPS for RR gang. You can even split it down the middle with only 2-3 people in gang with neut and everyone else with dual RR. Ah... beautiful...

Well, ok, you need a LG slaveset (actually gives you 210K EHP). Most BS need to get the real juicy EHP numbers. It's not that expensive for a BS pilot anyway.

'reasonable' DPS out of a Tempest? Yeah, if you want to have no EHP.
Anyway, Typhoon >> Tempest. It has 4 utility highs, and still outdamages AND outbuffers the Tempest at the same time.

Well enlighten me with regards to your tempest setup. because a tempest with dual heavy neuts won't pose a significant threat to a golem unless he's pve fitted or is doing it wrong.
Because all I see is you coming in here, whipping out your flaccid tempest epeen and failing to impress anyone with a "I killed something on Sisi and I was in a tempest at the time so therefore the tempest is uber and you are a noob lol" shocker. oh thats right, its because you do it in every thread relating to battleships.

siriously how can you pick a best BS.
*waves* For the guys that didn't know it yet, SOLO PVP DIED A LOOOONG TIME AGO, and this nano nerf might be the final nail in the coffin *waves* (and I doubt if it ever existed in BS hulls tbh)
So basicly "omg I pwnd a mega in a phoon today on sisi" doesn't mean anything at all .... As the situation just won't happen in tq.
Also when your in a gang a mega will be fine. If you think 1 vs 1 like it won't be against most BS. But its not like every BS in a gang will have a scram+web on it....
So you can still hapilly mwd towards your target while another guy has it webbed allready. So stop whining about the mega tbh. There are ships that get ****ed way harder by this patch....
If you want to whine about a blasterboat .. whine about the deimos .... The only viable use for that thing is fitting it with rails. Wich effectivly takes out all the damage benefits you got.... Especially compared to zealots .....

I would not want to fly an 800 million ISK ship into a fight, much less one who's redeeming value is a web bonus and 8 torp launchers when I could get the same with a dual webbed CNR for half the price.
Is it doable? Yes, but if you plan on flying a golem into fleet PvP with a falcon expect to be primaried if you fly in 0.0, lowsec, empire, stations and Jovian space.
