So basicly "omg I pwnd a mega in a phoon today on sisi" doesn't mean anything at all .... As the situation just won't happen in tq.
Also when your in a gang a mega will be fine. If you think 1 vs 1 like it won't be against most BS. But its not like every BS in a gang will have a scram+web on it....
So you can still hapilly mwd towards your target while another guy has it webbed allready. So stop whining about the mega tbh. There are ships that get ****ed way harder by this patch....
If you want to whine about a blasterboat .. whine about the deimos .... The only viable use for that thing is fitting it with rails. Wich effectivly takes out all the damage benefits you got.... Especially compared to zealots .....
Solo bs combat exited a fair few years ago when it was fesible for those who knew the tricks to escape from most gank situations, there also wernt gank fleets everywhere. Being able to mwd while loading system so you can instant warp, your enemies not understanding the old scanner, and the 3 minute map update time for pilots in system opposed to an average made it all too easy for a solo BS pilot not to get ganked.
As for the best BS i still dont think the old mega is as bad as people make out, long as your shooting other BS or have a friend to help multiple webs on hacs... Yeh your in a tricky situation if people warp scram/web combo you with a lachesis/rapier but thats no different then when you used to get rapier screwed anyway. Geddons always had trouble fitting wise, difficult cap wise to keep an mwd going and difficult PG wise to fit a cap booster with an mwd. Sure its a great ship if you land on them though. Abaddon is a pretty nice choice but again the cap is a *****, mega survived pretty well against a neut ship but the abaddon requires cap boosters just to run for a few volleys when its not getting neuted.
