Akita T Caldari Navy Volunteer Task Force	Posted - 2008.11.10 13:24:00 - [1] I mean, you only need to look at some of the fanfest pics to notice that most "hot chicks" around have (more than just) slightly yellow-ish teeth, and nobody actually minds (and for that matter, most europeans really don't mind/care that much about it, regardless of gender)... but almost every time I see some "party pics" taken somewhere in the USA, the vast majority of people there (girls and boys) have blinding white teeth, so white you couldn't possibly have them SO white naturally... I'd go so far as calling it "unhealthily white". So... is it just my impression or is it really so ? _ Create a character \|\| Fit a ship \|\| Get some ISK

Here in the UK, having white teeth is a must if you're in the "attractive" demographic. Personally didn't know "UK" and "Attractive" could be in the same sentence. Its all well and good but at the end of the day teeth arent naturally white, so when they market all these products as "restores teeth to their natural whiteness!" it should really be a sort of... light biege than **ing stark white. Each to their own, if you want teeth to signal ships into the harbour with, more power to ya. Personally as long as mine don't fall out, I'm happy. Then again the only thing I really give a ** about in the real world is the status of my bank account. That is literally it.

Anyway, by US standards I'm one fugly son of a ***** - complete with yellow teeth (my dental work's not as yellow, though the obvious not-as-yellow-as-the-actual-tooth facial fillings just add to the fugliness). My abysmal RL charisma stat doesn't really bother me that much though, since people who prize such things tend to really, really annoy the **** out of me, and I wouldn't associate with them anyway. ---

My teeth still have a slightly yellow tint, even so, they are healthy and im damn sure those that spend hours bleaching will have their teeth fall out long before I mine. Though even through this I havent gone to the dentist in atleast 2 years so they might not be as healthy as I thought, but dental being a ***** I dont know if I will be able to go any time soon either.

Ok they may not be blindingly white, but you need expensive cosmetic treatment to get them that white. Just cos all the american celebs have their teeth blindingly white doesn't mean the rest of America does. A lot of the older generation in the uk have bad teeth, but the younger generation as a rule have perfectly acceptable teeth, probably the same standard as America imho.

If your teeth actually come out yellow in a regular photo, then your teeth are actually pretty jacked. Even mildy yellow teeth come out white in pictures. But Americans generally have dental coverage, so they go for professional cleanings every few months. People like models and movie stars go for the crazy blue light whitening treatments because it's their job to have that perfect smile. But I'd also wager (aka don't feel like looking for statisics) that more of America's youth get braces than most other countries, so our teeth probably are better on the whole. However I must point out I am 18, an hence the only America I have known first hand is Bush, through and through Bush. Having looked through American history it has allways been through the view of seeing where it comes to. However, if the USA decides to pull out of the world and adopt an isolationist stance, I can see the EU rapidly expanding to take up the slack, we would of course do things differently, Israel we would probably put on the pressure for it to start disarming and negotiate with Iran as opposed to naming it a part of "The Axis of Evil". Diplomacy only works with mutual respect, I am hopeful that since Obama has acknowleged this the US can go on the path to earning back the reputation it took 2 world wars and the cold war to earn which was spent by Bush and his administration. Again, I am not blaming you yourself, but the people who elected him who must be held accountable for deciding that such people were fit to rule over them. To claim otherwise would be sheer arrogance. tl;dr, USA had a hell of a lot of reality to deal with and a humble one is much more welcome in the world than the one we had before, congrats on the early indications of reconciliation by electing the man who seeks it.
