ignore the frigs !
just focus on shouting the BS's and cruisers (and structeres, if your destrucktive like me)
just launch drones and they can take care of it, while you shout and loot !!
using time targeting frigs is a complete waist of time. |

There is the original specification stating that those Mauraders should be able to "easily" hit any ship/frigate.
I haven't tried the them since the rebalance, so I don't know how much of a change that is.
I would gather that they can still squash frigates, it just requires you to fit a dual instead of single web. So you have a choice to make: dual web to squash everythig with your large turrets, or fit a single web and let your drones swat the frigates.

Considering these ships require a lot of Skill Points, and cost an arm and a leg...
I think CCP should respond to this problem.
So, this is a bump... because I do fly a Kronos

Imagine you TP your target by 100% (which stacking nerfed TP drones won't do ever). Now, that gives you a flat 100% tracking boost, or now you track at 200%.
Wow, so target painters affect tracking now? Hmmm...nothing in the patch notes, and 'show info' on the item says nothing about tracking. Hmmm, I think you're confused about what target painters do or you completely misunderstand how range and tracking work in relation to turrets.

Translation: I spent a lot of money on my ship and I think it should be a solopwnmobile. Fitting a webber, target painter or light drones is simply not an option. I demand that the ship be changed to suit my needs and play style.

Solopwnmobile my butt.
- Slow as a BS, easy to catch, easy to tackle.
- Low sensor strength, easy to render powerless.
- Cost a ****load, and sure to be primary each and any time.
Solopwnmobile, eh? ------------------------------------------

Solo-Mission-Pwnmobile is all they are and should be used as. Unless your in a huge fleet and can use them as snipers then, but Id take the Apoc over the Paladin then any day. My sig. |

Edited by: Kaivaja on 13/11/2008 08:17:42 If you want to web them to 99%, simply use 2 60% webbers. Problem solved. You only lose 1 med slot, which is reasonable adaptation cost. Do your Eve math: 90% + 90% = 99%.

for one thing, it doesnt say anything about tachtions beeing able to hit anything. have you tried with dual heavy pulses? if that works then their stattement is still true.
and that blog says nothing about Marauders as a class should be able to use their main weapon effectivly against friggs.
what it says is that cronos and palladin have one heck of an effective webb. that is still true. it is even more powerfull now as it requires 3 normal webbs to get the same reduction as a palladin webb instead of the previusly 2 (not considering stacking penalties)

3x Ammar Navy HS 4x Megapulse II 4x Scorch Crystals = 730 dps at 45 km with roughly 150% better tracking than Tachs. 4x Ammar Navy Multifreq Crystals = 950 dps at 17km.
What more do you really need? You dont need a web to hit anything inside 15km (save for frigs, but that is what light drones are for).
Mainly because those spawns at 120km+. With Tachs they're dead long before they even reach you. With Pulses you can go make coffee while AB'ing towards them.

Hm. I guess someone has to read the tracking guide again and it isn't Cpt Branko. There is nothing in the patch notes, because nothing changed. There is nothing on the painter, because it really affects sig radius. But there is a really big BUT: The sig radius is part of the tracking formula.
You might want to try it: Tracking Guide On page 5: Play a little with the sig radius and notice the hit chances.

Probably nothing in the patch notes about it, because it is allready like that for a long time.
The effective tracking = raw tracking * sig radius of ship / sig resolution of guns
