I see lots of topics going now where many peoples can't get the Anti-Aliasing and the HDR to work at the same time on ATI cards that support Shader Model 3.0. But if your running EVE with Premium graphic, you should be able to run it with AA and HDR at the same time. Like you can with Fallout 3 for example.
And there is a guy who have made that possible a little while ago, and you can find the link to what you need to do HERE.
Or you can just download the ready made VBR script that you can just click on and it will do the job for you to make you run EVE with AA and HDR at the same time. The VBR Script is HERE.
You have to place the VBR script file in the main EVE folder where you have installed EVE Online (where the bin folder is located).
Remember, when you have clicked on the VBR file in the main EVE folder and then pressed OK after that, you will have a new folder called 'bin-hdr' in your main EVE folder + you will have a new shortcut on your Desktop that is called 'EVE Online - HDR'. Just start EVE from that shortcut.
And when you are ingame, then just press Esc and then go to the option where you can turn on HDR and Bloom. Then just activate them and you will have to restart EVE and then start EVE again, then you will see that EVE Online runs with both AA and HDR at the same time .
It's also important that you run the VBR script again after every patches. But before you do that, you should just delete the 'bin-hdr' folder in your main EVE folder, so you don't run into some problems. Because the script will make a new 'bin-hdr' folder with the files that eventually are modified in the new patch. You will always have a new 'EVE Online - HDR' shortcut on your Desktop after each time you run the VBR scrips.
Normally if you have done that without the script, you would just lose the Anti-Aliasing when you activate HDR. But that wont happen now. You will still have the full Anti-Aliasing activated if you have that activated in your graphic card option.
Here you can see the difference without HDR and with HDR on.
EVE Online With Anti-Aliasing, But Without HDR On.
EVE Online With Anti-Aliasing + HDR On At The Same Time.
Now enjoy the awesome graphic in EVE, with HDR .
I tried everything in that topic but none of it will even work to run anti-aliasing with OR without HDR. I even tried disabling premium graphics but still no anti-aliasing whatsoever. I tried forcing it in ATI Tray Tools to 2, 4, and 6. None of it works at all.
Tried adaptive anti-aliasing and temporal anti-aliasing as well.. no luck with those, either.
Is it now impossible to enable ANY kind of anti-aliasing under ANY circumstances for EVE? I don't think I'm going to waste money renewing my subscription if there can't even be AA anymore.
Edit: Damn I can't even find the button to e-mail subscribe to the topic. Where is it??? =/ These forums are pretty messed up lately. |
