To be honest that party looks fairly lame. The music is every cheese tune that I would expect to hear at a small townie bar in the u.s.a. Eve has used black sun empire in its advertisements before: why no drum and bass? Why no sultry techno? The eve soundtrack holds a lot of promise for more tribal/dance friendly variations on a very cool and serene, futuristic aesthetic... why no music at fanfest to match? I think if you really want to attract someone like my wife and I to travel to Iceland instead of, say, Ibiza or Italy, what you offer should be more cutting edge when it comes to entertainment. Maybe that's too much to expect of an mmorpg, which has a lot of geeky baggage as part of it from the getgo. The thing is, given the style and presentation of eve, if any mmo could actually be cool, it would be eve. |

Actually there was a full rockband (Roxor) who played incredibly as well as some wonderful futuristic music by RealX who did all the sound 'in game'- so perfect for the night. This footage was from the later part in the night with the great Icelandic DJ set.. which is exactly when you need a bit of 90's cheese IMO, if theres one thing that could be said, is that the music catered for all, and there was not much like it.
Also, oh dear god, " You have to Jump throughout the whole song, its the law!" lol.. check please... |
