im tired of these changes. this "small medium large" use the right gun/ship to fight the right targets etc etc etc
wanna kill frigates? use small guns, small drones and small missles
cruisers? gotta use MEDIUMS
battleships? large!
just call the ships "Small" "Medium" and "Large" from now on why dont ya?
at least.. add anti-cruiser and anti-frigate large weapons...
bleh, ill adapt. i just hate having to do it..
change sucks! haha.. ________

I know that's off topic, but it came to me while I was reading this and other threads.
Regarding the topic at hand, I tend to agree with Hanns on this one. CCP has shown us a pattern of "take away" and then "give it back" and call it an improvement of some sort.
i love it.. i'd have no trouble equipping two cruiser guns in place of one battleship gun. 2 cruiser guns can take down a cruiser quick enough without having to worry about using up two highslots on your 100m isk battleship.

I wanna add something else. I realize these changes depend alot on speed, sig radius, etc. they give us alot more to play around with (even if the small/medium/large makes me feel like im playing a kids game on the gamecube).
The problem is control.. control sucks in this game. You can't slow down, stop your ship etc as effectively as you should be able to.
i just read a thread about upcomming missle changes and I understand where the devs are going with this. IMHO the missle changes and the turret changes wont work as well as they should until some interface changes (shiva?).
I dunno. I'm 3 months young.. i guess real skill is starting to become something you need in this game. Instead of just mental/strategic.. gotta have the eye-hand coordination and reaction time of a veteren FPS player to be effective..
2 cruisers and 2 frigates, you have a webber and all BS guns. Frigates and cruisers are MWDing around you 10km away at 500-2000m/s and you can't hit them worth ****. Best you can do is web them to slow them down so you can take them out.. err um, while trying to increase your range.. and uh trying to keep transversal velocity as low as possible.. MAYBE if I was using a keyboard to control my ship could this be possible. I don't have the reaction time/hand eye coordination required to do such things, that why I play mmorpgs.
maybe if they added new additions to the interface for keeping transversal velocity at a certain speed?
the idea about turret bays would work great..
so would just adding battleship sized anti-cruiser weapons (dual 250 hybrids for example?) and frigate sized cruiser weapons (dual 150s). Something that outdamages the frigate/cruiser weapons, but is still useful against ship sizes lower then yours.
CCP is so damn worried about making sure a smaller class ship can keep up with a larger class ship.. wish i knew why? before I joined did people complain they couldnt take a BS 1v1 in a moa? or a caracal 1v1 in a kestrel? i dont get it. ________

i have yet to find a caldari pilot who uses hybrids over missles.. ever.. hell, even one who uses both equally.
MISSLES ARE SUPERIOR. It's not that hard to see right now..
i know ill wake up one day and i'll find in eve you wont be able to do damage unless you're using a ******* smartbomb..
btw negotiator, you're complaining as well. not about game mechanics, but the people posting here. at least we have something worthy to complain about
