Hey Folks
After an amazing week, we have managed to gather up all of the footage from Fanfest 2008 and we are now in the process of getting it all online. We're now ready to release the first batch of the official ground-breaking lectures from Fanfest 2008 (as well as a teaser of all the other weird and wonderful things we got up to during the event).
The following videos are now available for download:

The Great and Wonderful Eve Quiz Show
These can all be found on this page with various download options, with a high quality version (1024x576) and a half size option (512x288) so you can watch them in all their glory.
We're also uploading to Youtube so check out our page there.
Editing and compressing will continue over the next week and we'll start uploading videos as soon as they become available. Still to come is a big handful of lectures, the Pvp Tournament Final and of course Roxor & The Party on the Top of the World!
We hope you enjoy this wonderful stuff and we would like to thank everyone who took part in Fanfest, especially those who agreed to be on camera. None of this would have been possible without the attendees who took part and we hope you enjoy everything we have been able to give you.

After having sampled your efforts the wares you have given us seem to be of excellent quality. Maybe we would of all liked the stuff to be broadcast live but eh approach you have taken has resulted in a quality result.

Heh, I'm afraid I've done too many conference presentations at work to be shy ... ultimately if you expect people to listen you should have something to say. Forums, voice, its just different kinds of presentation end of the day.

If you guys don't want to install quicktime, use quicktime alt, basically with this you can play .mov files with out all the quicktime background ****e.
Thanks for putting these up, great quality. There are some really exciting things coming in the summer expansion. Also kudos to the CVA member on the alliance panel, it takes balls to roleplay like that infront of a large crowd.

VLC player and mplayer can also play .mov files. No reason to install QT at all.

Damn was kinda hoping they'd be wmv or avi so I could stream them to my 360 and watch on the TV. Oh well, guess my 22" lcd will have to do. |

I mean, I don't want to complain, and I'm glad that these videos have been made available..
But Quicktime? really? All the superior video formats out there, and we decide to go with Quicktime of all things. I only mention this because I can't really view quicktime video, I have to convert it into a format that doesn't suck first.. and them's some big files.
Still, I am glad that it isn't in realplayer format. Things could be worse.

The 360 and the PS3 use their own codecs to view video content, regardless of the source.
However, using the 360 as a media center extender should theoretically work.. I have yet to see a wireless home network that could handle the amount of bandwidth that the media center extender requires, however.

Quicktime isn't a video format — it's a container.
In this case, it contains the same (superior) video format as every other container does these days: H.264. |

Last time I watched Fanfest Roxor were fairly underwhelming tbh
Fairly sure they've changed their lineup, but whatever, that gig was pretty fckin decent
