It's much worse, this patch is complete garbage tbh. Can't keep clients logged without dsync issues, can't activate modules, periods of not being able to dock or jump, can't jump clone without logging after, etc.
Utter garbage, time to play something else until this crap is sorted out.
/yeah I'm not happy.

It took me a minute to transition from one ship to another. Never happened before, even in Jita, and in this case I was in a small, out-of-the-way system.
It's taking longer for me to get responses from the servers than ever before.

it's really bad now. nothing at all in overview. only gates in brackets. local 30. lag. where the hell from? fleet battle with 50 odd in overview nothing but gates in brackets, local around 160 - much worse lag than before. confirm that the longer one stays online the worse the lag gets. i mean like 30-60 min not 5-7 hours.

Didnt CCP said about a month ago that QR was all about performance and less on new stuff? They lied (again).
The good thing is however, CCP will loose a lot of subscribers then before. This will make Eve more playable (I hope).

I have always found in these threads, that a lot of people have so called "Lag". But what it really is the fact that their PC is a POS or config'd wrong and simply runs EVE poorly.

You assume too much, which makes you look silly.
All the issues I'm having are all server side, the client itself runs fine.

I Have noticed since the deployment of the new patch that the LAG has become a major issue. I am not the only one I am writing this on behalf of my entire corp. I should hope CCP will find a resolution to this issue as as possible and for the rest of you out there with similar issues i encourage writing complaints and making as many negative posts as possible until the problem is resolved. FIX THE LAG!!!! [ ] Yes, it is much better than before. [ ] Yes, I notice a little improvement. [ ] I don't notice any change. [ ] No, it is a bit worse the before. And I've found that a good number of people posting assumptions online are wrong.
The configuration of my PC hasn't changed. The only factor that has changed is the version of EVE. Therefore we conclude that it is the problem. Furthermore, the issues I am experiencing have nothing to do with the PC. The framerate is stille great, triple digits. But I have to sit in space and wait for the server to respond for extended periods. Care to explain how my configuration could have magically changed to cause this change?

do you know what comparison is at all? it's when you compare the lag before and after the patch on the same machine, with the same settings, in similar circumstances.

It was good when StacklessIO and EVE64 were implemented, but not so within the patch. [edit:] Specially in station. Market, opening containers/ship holds, drag 'n drop.
Even new wrecks appearing is just weird. Ah, the double selection in "selected item" overview (10 icons instead of 5) -Angel |

Depends on your definition of smooth, there was a 50 vs 150 ish fleet fight yestarday with 450 in local and a hojillion fighters and it seemed to be alot better (30seconds of client freezing before the action starts vs 2-5 minutes pre-patch).

I love people making assumptions about other peoples "Assumptions" This is a free posting forum now isn't it. My finding was simply a statement/opinion that is true to EVE since it was created. Yes YOU may be having obvious(known) issues, but then you'd be the exception to MY statement. This entire thread is really useless as HUNDREDS of variables can effect someones performance to and from the server. I will clarify that I believe that most people will simplify multiple variables and simply narrow it down to "The patch" which is not factual or helpful. How bout we/you send in very specific bug reports and findings though the designated channels or on a specific thread that you listed. Not some stupid poll. But thats just MY opinion, doesn't make me a Moron or stupid or ignorant.
I've seen an obvious improvement with normal bugs and hickups which of course I report to CCP though the bug report system.

Edited by: Krxon Blade on 16/11/2008 15:47:20 All bug reports, complains or even whines would be much more constructive if every OP or thread follower add some useful info such as:
OS, RAM, GPU, PSU, CPU, MBO, Eve folder location, location, internet provider, internet speed, router type, etc...
Try to provide as much as possible info to CCP instead of just reporting already known thing.
And use usual Bug reporting system for God's sake.

Unfortunately there isn't anything way less then that. I would take it say it was like this.
-10 -5 0 +5 +10
I would make it like -100 because when I log onto that market, well I might as well go and make myself a drink and have a smoke because it will take forever to get there.

^Yep.
While there is some post-patch issues. Just fought in VNG last night and had pretty much no lag beyond grid load. |

Hopefully they fix that and turn off whatever data tools they're running soon (I assume there's something like that to explain the lag). Pre-patch, with just StacklessIO deployed, Eve felt really responsive and 'snappy'.
I'm getting tired of not locking things before they warp off and would like to actually kill someone |

It was very smooth after StacklessIO and Eve64 patch but with QR it got worse than it was before.
Memory usage increase noticed but no leak, BUT i get every 10 to 20 seconds at least a second lag for no appereant reason + the fact that session changes take as long as on a jita sunday before stacklessIO and Eve64 (as in 10secs.) resulting in emergency warps on every gate (arriving after warp and jumping), a lost pod and not being able to run two accounts playable anymore and "invisible ships, stations and gates" so I have to relog before I can dock or jump because not only my ship is invisible but als the station and/or gate.
