Dear CCP,
In reference to OP's post.
I regretfully wish to inform you that the OP's stand in this particular matter is absolute, and no amount of reasoning shall move OP's mind in regards to this matter.
Therefore it is with a heavy heart that I request that the SP from OP's excess skillpoints in Caldari Battlecruiser V be transferred over to me for immediate re-allocation of my choosing.

The Drake is the ship of choice for retards; OP doesn't want people to think that (s)he is capable of flying the Drake when people look at his/her skillsheet; it follows, therefore, that the OP doesn't want to be thought of as a ******. It's not that hard, is it?

Sure, why not just whip out the old "i should be able to respec" argument.
Which in this case, could actually be a valid option, but implementing it is NEVER going to happen..... i think, but one can only hope.
Basically it means you can take skill levels off of something and then add the SP you got from that, to another skill ( something like twice per year or something ).
Reason this will never be implemented:
It will probably kill the purpose of having more then 1 alt.
It will make training for higher level skills pointless, cause people will just train a lot of low level ones, that they will later convert to SP for the hgiher level ones.

Train all frigs to 5, all cruisers to 5, destroyers/battlecruisers (non racial) to 5. train all T2 cruiser skills (non racial today) at least 1lvl, also destroyers at least 1 lvl(non racial), train Command ships (non racial).
Stop complaining today because you're in bad mood, in a few months you're going to post about friends of yours who did it and can still fly all the ships they used to but now you'll need at least 4x times to get the same skills blahblahblah.

However, CCP did successfully troll tens of thousands of players into skilling for Battlecruisers, making the new tier 3 BCs an even bigger hit.

You'll do it anyway at some point so there's not much of a problem if they make Destroyers/Battlecruisers/Reccons etc skills racial ones, if they don't there no problem neither when you can always choose the best tool for whatever task and join whatever group with no shield/armor weapon systems requirements.

As someone who only ever flies Amarrian ships I too would prefer to receive SPs rather than skills.
But it's not a big issue for me.

As someone who only flies Amarrian and eventually doesn't have any other race trained for the prerequisites (if CCP ever does that stuff) you don't get any SP or skills.
