dear CCP.
NOW this has been going on for TOOO LONG !
You need to step up the nerf-swingbat !
iv visit again 20-30 russian systems lastnight, legion af xxdeathxx + Solar wing space (0.0) .. each time i enter a system where 2-4 Russian Raven pilots are NPCing, after 10sec of my entering of the system they LOG of !
Honestly .. a Battleship (the games 3.largest ship ingame) is able to insta disapear from space !
As I see the game:
- this is total lack of penalties
- a Huge ship as a Ballteship sized ship shouldnt be able to cloak or insta logoff
I cant be true this is posible !!!
If the players dont wanna fight vs little me .. then should stay in safe Empire and NOT have the options of logging of in space in 0.0 !
Most of russian players are between 5weeks and half a year old and fly a fully npc tank-able ship for easy profit.
2. issue
these russian use russain typing in local for easy warning, tho NO one lese understand these weird letters.
Nerf-solution: local chat can ONLY contain english txt letters ! NO spy-texting-russian .. it should be fair for all ! i cant txt spy-texting for my mates ..so shouldnt they be able to it !
3. solution
If these none-multiplayer gamers as Russians ..dont wanna "play" the game .. make a seperate Russian server and let em game there for em self !

Yeah, these russians are soooooo different from all other remotely smart ratters in EVE...
Agreed, most SS&cloak or POS up rather than logging, but the end result is the same. And please honestly tell me, if you are ratting and hostiles enter your system, do you stay in the belt and wait for them to come kill you? If so, please lemme know where you rat :P
And if you are reading this, you have arrived at the signature without noticing...

Mods don't like it when you tie nationality to exploiting and i can see where they're coming from. It reads a bit like racism. If you took that out your post would be far more effective. Their language has nothing to do with their actions.

iv been playing since 2003 so tbh its not first time i see this .. but these russian does its 300% more then in other regions !!!! |

While I understand it's annoying to have your prey get away in such a cowardly way, there is absolutely nothing CCP can and should do about it.
Why?
Logoff = not playing = not enyoing the game.
You simply can't force someone to play = stay logged on just cause you wanna spank them.
Should Battleships stay in space just like motherships and titans?
I don't think so ... cause the next whine we gonna have is about battlecruisers logging off ... then cruisers ... and so on and so forth.

Actually i got something bright to tell. Im assuming they are using clients and keyboard layouts with theire native language. Is it bad if they use it in local? If they are "sending secret messages" wouldnt you think they got their own channel?

Yes, why?
Do you suggest that everyone else should be forced to use the Latin when communicating in local, even though all of them are using the cyrillic alphabet for writing your own language? Why? Do you think that everyone playing EVE should be forced to learn English?
Remember there are several localized versions of the EVE client, so you don't actually have to know any English to be able to play EVE.

EDIT: I am in no way implying that you are American; I was simply pointing out how absurd it would be to have separate servers for each language. Doing so would mean we'd have taken another step towards becoming World of EVE-craft, and we don't want that, do we?

A probable solution could be to render ships immune to all damage and lingering EWAR for ten minutes, then emergency warp them off elsewhere a million km away after those ten minutes WHILE being vulnerable to EWAR done by players.
This will work both ways: it will firstly, do a service to missionrunners and anyone doing PvE who have real problems. And probably all warp scrambling done by NPCs ought to be classified into something else that is separate from players, so that the game will be able to determine that a player is not under warp scramble by a player and can thus warp away.
Consider this that will happen to a logoffski: yes, his ship will be invulnerable and stationary in space for ten minutes, but I'm sure that by then, anyone who was looking for him/her would've found him. Ten minutes is more than enough for anyone proficient with a scanner. Hunting players would've found the logoffski by then, put warp scrambles on him and after the ten minutes is up, it's showtime. Logoffski ship explodes, paying the price.
Is this fair?

To resolve issue 2, I suggest either learn conversational Russian or use Altavista Babelfish to translate the conversation. You could also rename your ship "Я содружественн" to confuse them when they scan the system.
