Last I checked, Eve had a large population in empire happily PvE'ing and avoiding PvP. Imagine 75% of what you would term "carebears" leaving for a greener PvE ground. Of course it would affect you, and affect Eve.

JGE does have a lot of things going for it, and I for one will definitely be trying it out.
Yeah, hitting orbit, F1-F8 and waiting for the outcome is fun, but grabbing a joystick and taking direct control looks like a blast too.
Not only that, but FGE has a couple of other things going for it:
1) Environments. EVE, after 4 years nonstop, is just freaking bland when it comes to environments. When I enter a new solar system it's going to have the same things every time:
Sun, Planets, Belts, Maybe a station, Maybe a pos. There's never any cool solar phenomena, strange electrically charged gas clouds, eerie looking ancient monuments to long dead space faring civilizations.. nothing. Just the same things, system after system.
Nothing makes any one place stand out more than any other except there will be more red nebula in minmatar controlled space and more blue nebula in caldari controlled space... or if you're in 0.0 you get the added sweet bonus of SOV data appearing in the corner! Wheee!
2) The background. Looking at the same carbon copy, painted nebula for four years straight is just old. It's so boring that 90% of my available window is covered in chat windows, local windows and expanded overviews because the raw data about what's going on around me is infinitely more interesting than the red/blue/green/ nebula that keeps following me.

jge looks **** tbh and is it turn based like final fantasy ????
what worrys me is that ccp are getting money hungrey and will ruin eve by making non consensual pvp disappear and that will be the death of eve or doing some stuiped like give new payers 10mil sp which will ruin it also.

How many of those are actually single account, pure carebear mission runners. Even some of them will stay since some will prefer EVE specially after the PvE changes that are coming. Secondly that greener PvE ground has existed for a long time now, so some other thing must be keeping the PvE crowd in the game. Some will leave, but the actual numbers are impossible to predict.
Even as a space combat simulator fan myself who loves the idea of manual flight, the combat footage from JGE looks a bit meh. There weren't that many good space flight sims when I played them actively, but I remember a metric ton of crappy and mediocre ones. I've also seen every MMO promise how it will be revolutionary and amazing, until it comes time to deliver and the details are revealed. They always manage to bring something new to the table, but the inevitable tradeoffs they had to make usually ruin those features for me. I'll wait until the game goes live and we get details how the game is structured and how the mechanics work, to make my final judgement.

Yes, 40oz pour required indeed. 5 Year vet here. It's a shame what they did to that game in it's last years (and still doing so).

If it has pvp servers I will try it but reading the interviews and game description it owes very little to its predecessor other than basic IP and universe fluff

it does seem to be going into the wrong direction maybe but there is another game in development thats looking interesting and its also taken ideas from eve but its not a space mmo but it is sci-fi.
look into earthrise the beta might begin soonish.

As was said, please? I'm typically self-sufficient as I fly mostly frigs, or enough of the people I fly with have bpcs etc for the t2 stuff...
EVE Would continue just fine without the complete carebears. Note Complete Carebears and not "industrialists". I like Indys.
