I would tend the agree .If it was balanced with T1 modules then why shake the balance with t2?
And really the fact that SB modules act that quick is a huge bonus.IT doeosnt matter if my large armour rep uses much less cap if i die with 75 % cap blasted by a swarm of torps from a raven.
uhh... by the time the raven Fires again, your two armor repairers repair most of the damage. ................. |

i dont understand why they wanna screw with an established balance.........
i mean all techII weapons are sposed to get a 20% damage mod boost, no weapons gets a better boost than another one..........(if not techII weapon, as they aint ingame yet, think named ones......)
why change something around with shield against armor boosting?
All of above post was formulated wth 100% honesty and 100% sarcasm. Now i only need to get drunk
The 3rd turret is the Malediction is missing. Plz make as much noise as possible so that CCP gets us a remedy for that, possibly before X-Mas this year. |

Large Shield booster II = 60 hp/sec Large Armor Repairer II = 71 hp/sec
2x Large Shield Booster II + Shield Amp = 156 hp/sec 2x Large Armor Repairer II = 142 hp /sec
and the 2x Large Shield boosters = 1.95hp/cap 2x Large Armor Repairers = 2hp/cap
There Its called BALANCE see how everything is mostly all balanced nicely? yep yep
Ohh and btw, faction based turrets have a 25% increase in damage ................. |

XL + amp = 520 hp every 5 seconds -> 104hp/sec, 80 cap/sec, 1,3 hp/cap 4 large armor reps (WTF) = 2400 hp every 12 secs (with decent skills, not perfect) -> 200 hp/sec, 133,33 cap/sec, 1,5 hp/cap
What do you mean "XL SB + shield amp = 2 large armor repairers"? More like 2. Besides, XL + amp use 240 (or is it 250) CPU while 2 large reps use 100. The difference is powergrid is quite large yes, but that's because ships with lots of CPU are shield tanks and ships with lots of powergrid are armor tanks.

Except the fact that you use compare two large shield boosters and a amp, which is 3 slots, compared to 2 large armor repairers which is two slots. You cuold compare two large shield boosters towards two large armor repairers. But given that we have a XL shield booster. I have to agree its very balanced.

I was going to point that out too.. But we really should be comparing the XL Shield Booster to the Large Armor repairer..

XL + Amp more or less equals 2 non named L armor reps with rep lvl4. with repair systems5 the two L reps can regen more hp/sec. (armor also has higher resistance).
not to mention that you can easily fit a 1600mm plate which gives you 2k+ armor to buy time for the reps to kick in. And you can put a 1600mm plate on every ship, for almost everysetup, ever tried fitting a L shield extender on a raven? or dare to try it on a tempest?
tech1 is not even balanced, maybe they're trying to balance it with tech2, who knows.
and for all it's worth, the tech2 stuff out so far doesn't really all look that balanced, like the pduII which seem bit ****ty. |
