Edited by: NightmareX on 05/12/2008 18:20:52 I have used LOTS of different Firewalls and Anti-virus programs, and if you want a really good security pack, that is also meant for gamers, then ESET Smart Security is the way to go on Server 2008 .
But before you try to install it, you have to make sure that you have the ESET Smart Security v3.0 Business Edition.
Because the other versions of the ESET Smart Security will not install because they detect that your running a server OS.
If you have the 64-bit version of Server 2008, then you have to install the 64-bit version of ESET Smart Security v3.0 Business Edition.
That program is simply the best thing you can have on your computer when it's about security, and when you want a security pack that don't use much resources on your computer.

Do not.. I repeat do not! try and use any linux platform to run eve or any other "high end" games.
I have been using ubuntu for about 5 years and have tried every documented method to get eve and cough cough wow running well. I got them running but never ever close to XP frame rates. Patching is a nightmare and it just sucks don't go there. Especially if you don't have a lot of linux knowledge.
Damn man, you are good. Using Ubuntu for 5 years?
Shame that even ubuntu.com doesn't exist for 5 years.
too bad you don't have a flux matrix time machine like I do then you could have 5 years exp. with ubuntu too! I meant linux for 5 ubuntu for 2. :)

Go HERE: Windows Server 2008 Standard
When you are there, then click on the 'Download files below' button.
Then you choose the '6001.18000.080118-1840_amd64fre_Server_en-us-KRMSXFRE_EN_DVD.iso' file that takes 2539.9 MB. And then press the Download button for the 64-bit version.
