It gives the option to set the name for a corporate hangar array, AND for a ship maintenance bay but (no matter what stage of anchoring) it gives "You cannot rename this object" error.
Is it a bug, or should they just remove the option in the first place?
It would be really nice to be able to name the hangars!
If it has a SAVE button...I'm not interested. |

To change the names of Corporation Hangars, you must be the CEO of a corp. For the CEO to change it, go to the Corporation window, Home tab, "Divisions" button.

He means an anchored Corporate Hangar Array at a POS. You can't rename the actual Corporate Hangar Array, though you can rename just about everything else. Not a big deal when you only have one, but when you have a large corp and several anchored, it can be a bit confusing.

Could always anchor a can above the hanger bay and name that...

This is a major fail on CCP's part. Corp hangar modules cannot be named, but towers and labs and other modules can be named. I can't believe that there is any real technical difficulty in fixing the inability to name corp hangar modules; it is another illustration of the poor quality of implementation and bug fixing that seems to be widespread in Eve. I have been in the game 2-1/2 years and have seen many simple bugs or implementation errors that either take years to get fixed or never get fixed at all. In any of the industries in which I have worked in programming, programming management and system management over the last 43 years this would be completely unacceptable.

to be fair, assembly arrays CAN be named, and usually make for better corp hangers anyways.
