I tryed to get in to space invaders which was my heros. They did not want me and just laughed when i asked to join. (they probably still laugh about me) Anyway. I was from day one going for pvp so when i could not get in to a pirate corp i started pirate hunte my self. After a while i came in contact with celest apoc (as a result of just starting pvping alone) I was invited into their corp and learnd litle bit about pvp. Then after a month i left and started my own pirate corp.
And now everyone just laugh about me :)

After a while i came in contact with celest apoc (as a result of just starting pvping alone) I was invited into their corp and learnd litle bit about pvp. Then after a month i left and started my own pirate corp.
And now everyone just laugh about me :)

In beta, phase 6 I think, me and a friend got the idea to go down the the Arkanor-rich system (Ennur I think) in Molden Heath and kill everyone that wasn't Minmatar in some roleplay experiment. We were both Minmatar of course, in a Rupture and a Stabber with phat modules (All 'Scout' weapons for example), and we proceeded to pwn everyone. It begun with hunting in the belts for non-minmatar leechers but quickly evolved to camping the station, ganking everyone that came out. Then people started to organize and try to chase us away, but we held our ground and the fights I had there has not been surpassed at any time in retail.
This was before sentry guns, invulnerability timers or warp core stabilizers, there was no game mechanics for consentual PvP. If you wanted to kill someone, you could. I don't think the game will ever reach that level of fun no matter how much balancing takes place. 
Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage. |

In fact it seems like every pirate I run across wants me to join their corp (maybe they are picking up something about my personality that I'm missing?). The key thing is to not be a smack talking fool. If you get out there and act like an idiot they just laugh even harder and blow you up.
If you act like you have some sense though, you will find out that most pirates are actually ok to talk to. They just like explosions. My problem is that for some reason they all seem to think I should join the dark side. They all seem to believe after talking to me that my fur must itch something awful. Tell the truth it's even tempting sometimes, but just not my playstyle. So for now the fur stays. Maybe I'll shave it off at some point, but I as long as my corp doesn't pirate, I won't even consider it, and I won't consider leaving the corp I'm in either, so no pirating for me.
Bounty hunting though does appeal. it's just the hardest way to make money in Eve, and probably the most isk intensive aspect of the game at the same time. I don't think I can afford to bounty hunt just yet =(
