Thanks for all the kind words and the offers of help.
My laptop's motherboard needs replacement and I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna do that or just get a new laptop. In any case I expect to be back around Dominion.
I don't really feel I need monetary/material donations for running an ingame service. If you insist on showing your appreciation isk donations will be fine

Estel, please do not give up on this! This service has been tremendous help to many even players and this contribution to Eve cannot just disappear so easily because of a computer hiccup. Why don't you open a donation link? You will be surprised how many people will be willing to pitch in - even just a couple of dollars, but combined it will amount to a large sum.
You've done a great deed for the Eve players, and I am sure many will be happy to say thanks and support you. If you think that it is absurd that people will be willing to donate to you for this, just look at the guy that wanted to raise money to fly some Valve developers to Australia so they could take a look at his mod. If ever there was a more ridiculous reason to raise money  .
So believe me, your cause compared to his is a lot less bizarre. I've never used your service, and am willing to donate anyway!

JonnyRandom, thanks for your offer but I will not ask for or accept real cash for running an ingame service. Consider making a donation to Chribba instead. He's running way more costly services such EVE Search and EVE Files.
I haven't given up on this, it'll just take me short while to get things sorted.

I used your service and it was very good û thank you for that. I was on vacation at the time so I forgot to leave the corp and post here immediately 
One question though: Why will you lose your standings when you are away for a while? Shouldnt they stay just as they were?

They should, except that there still are people in EACS who might have affected the standings.
While the service was running, I had to kick people who over stayed their welcome (i.e. stayed more than 4 or 5 days) almost every day. For some reason some people just don't leave.

A quick update:
1) I managed to login today on someone else's computer I've kicked the remaining members, the didn't hurt the standings so that's one problem less I also put a little note in the corp description explaining the situation.
2) I've talked to the shop owner who sold me the laptop, he's gonna have a look at it and either fix it (for free) or get me a new laptop at a discount (if repairs are to expensive). I've also got a friend who's fixing me a desktop computer from spare parts. So I should be back within a few weeks

I got my desktop today and it seems to be working like a charm. We'll see how it performs over the next few days, but I don't think running EVE for the jumpclone service will be a problem (I'll stay out of potentially laggy situations though).
