I wrote the mother of all industrial web apps for my old corporation which has sadly died away.
For the past few months it's been sitting there getting sadder and lonlier until I felt sorry for her sad little interfaces and gave her a quick make over to tie up security into a single person application and I've released it into the wild for you guys.
what does it do? Quick guided video tour What doesn't it do is more the question. ok POSes aren't in there ...... yet....... but from the industrialists point of view, it pretty much covers all the areas of project management that you'd need.
This site is more than just a lookup tool. It's an entire suite of management tools for the serious industrialist or a way to keeping track of your incomme as a miner.
Watch the video, it will take you over the main features of the site. |

ok this is weird..... no sooner do I throw this out in the wild and something's gone sprunk somewhere on the server it's running on.
If you're trying to access it and getting time out errors, I'm looking now at what's causing this. Been running no problem for the past couple of years n it's had it's fair share of users hammering at it so in the process of consulting with the guys who run the server.
If all else fails I'll throw it in a sub domain on staticmapper until things get sorted. Will let you guys know link soon as it's transfered. |

yup link won't work, or when it does work it's as slow as treakle. Something is shafted on that server and I'm transfering it over to my own website until the guy who owns it fixes it..... only thing now is to transfer the database n we're good to go |

Couple of folks have asked about the corp based operations
when I setup the site originally that was exactly what it's function was for. to pull in all the API info for the corp so that I could control the flow of parts and materials to the different projects. It's core design was for a single corp with guest accounts, but fret not, for I am right now part way through the restructure where you can grab all your corp API stuff, create corp wide projects, sell and order minerals from the reports system and a few other tricks...
in the mean time, you can still share projects via the Project Access tab if the other users are registered.
I'll make sure that it's publicly anounced when the corp bit is done |

Certainly looks nice and was running like lightening last night. I'd been looking for ideas and tools on how to handle larger projects. You should license this to CCP :) I was just saying they need to have some ingame tools for stuff like this. Its hard to make a great plan come together without the right tools and we all can't be programmers. |

you need to check your ammunition blueprint calculations. for example i was trying to do t2 heavy missiles (toon is Durep) and 1 run of the bpc produces 5k missiles and takes about 17hrs(cant remember the exact time) for the job (in eve). But your tool is showing the material costs of 1 run as the material cost of 1 missile (checked em, kinetic, and explosive t2 fury heavies on your site). the time calculation also increments by missile not by run (1 run = 5k missiles)
overall like the site though +1 |

ya i think there is a problem with the runs vs quantity equations (whether its implementation or just error in the math). if you type in the number of runs you want to do into the quantity box (instead of the actual quantity you want to produce) it fixes the materail numbers but your manufacture time will still be off.
p.s. I'm loving this site and would like to help in anyway i can so if there is a way to send some sort of error report or email to report stuff like this please let me know |

I'll have a look at the wrong figures in calculating requirements.
It pulls all the info from the latest database dump but there's been some cases where I've had to create a couple of rules to get the correct figures. Looks like I'll need to insert a few more.
Added to the list of things to attend to. |

Evemail them to me here. I love logging in to huge lists of unread mails... makes me feel important :) For work we've used getsatisfaction.com as a feedback widget on some of our other projects so I've setup a trial account.
Use it to feedback to me any bugs, suggestions, questions and I'll deal with them depending on priority. |

Ohrite folks. Been a good weekend for me and I've just pushed up the latest code base. Couple of fixes and introduction of new features
Corporation control : Create your own corporation group and start managing your corp wide industry jobs and financial affairs Create Corporate projects which appear on the list of all your corp members who are registered Create request projects to get someone in your corporation to build you that certain ite Create quotes for other registered users in own corp or in other corps. Quotes appear on their own project list as well as yours
Corporations can be created and managed from the User Options sectio
Fixed confusion surrounding ammunition and "quantity". Quantity now properly relabeld as runs. back ground calculation now take into account the portionsize so 100 runs of Carbonized lead will produce 100'000 units of ammo Extra column "produces" added to manufacturing Projects creation relabled as Runs as well. Entering 100 capacitor booster 800s in creation will show 1000 units in Item list (1 run makes 100 units)...... So remember items produced = runs * BP Batc
there are more corporate features to add over the next week so stay tuned. |

is this me or something that needs addressing, love the site though, the ability to save projects is very handy for stuff you do regularly, good stuff

couple of messages for clarity on corporate management.
By default site operates on personal mode. so everything you do will only be viewed and accessed by you except in cases where someone assigns you viewing rights in the access tab on projects. If someone enters you as a trustee that project will appear on your list and you can interact with it as if it's yours, assigning transactions, industry jobs, material reports etc
When someone creates a corporate group though, you will get 2 options when creating projects instead of the text Personal. The 2 options are Personal and Request. Requests appear in the project lists as quotes. Select this option, select the corporation group, select the character you want this request to appear to everyone else as and choose your item(s), Before anyone can interact with it, a price needs to be given and accepted then it will appear in the list of everyone in that corporation.
Admin
there are 2 levels to corporate administrations. Admin can change the CAK and assign roles. Project managers can do all the project managy things but can't access admin console. characters can have both admin and project roles assigned (those of you who have already created your corps, add project to your list of roles, will happen by default for everyone else now)
you will get a drop down when creating projects. Still the option for personal jobs, but now with corporation for the corp wide projects and quotes as well. corp projects will imediately appear in the list for everyone to interact with. to create a corporate project, select it from the list, select the corporation group, select your character (only your characters appear here) you want the project to appear responsible for, enter the item(s) you want created and submit.
Quotes can be created for anyone. in corp or out of corp, they are handled the same way. Creating quotes for someone not registered will appear in their list of projects when they do register automagically. People outside the corporation can only see the quote progress screen, people in corp who don't have project managers roles can only see the project. Project managers can see everything (corpoate or quotes, personal projects are still kept personal). Creating a quote is similar to a request except there is an extra called Client Name where you enter who the item is for and a due date. If you leave the due date alone system will suggest a due date depending on what it is your're building. Sub cap ships are around 4-5 days while capitals are build time * 2.5 (to take into account the build time of capital parts + resource collection). Generally around 28 days.
the reason that the Request option on material reports is disabled is because that bit ties into a bit of the site that needs a lot more work. As the name suggests, it is a wish list of stuff that you want. but before I go into too much on that, I'll spend the next couple of days fielding the bugs you throw my way.
Projects have statuses that can be changed. In the project view, click on the Green Active, select a new status. Use them as appropriate. Due dates can be changed by clicking on the due date (see the cursor go pointy, means there's soemthing clickety there) Flags on the project list let you set priority. Handy for corporate management to let folks know which project to concentrate on first.
Clarrifying runs in manufacturing - with some item types, 1 BP run creates multiple amounts. EG capacitor boosters create 10 units per run. so 10 runs makes 100, 1000 runs makes 10'000 etc. So this is why some material responses looked out, because I hadn't made it clear. the math was right, but the output was not. If you create a project of 100 runs of Cap Booster 800s the project will show quantity as 1000. 100 x 10 = 1000....
that should cover most of the mails this morning. |

PM me with browser and OS you're using. you can use the keyboard to cursor navigate items as well and return to select. You have to select the item from the drop down list to add it to the "shopping list" below the ME/PE/runs entry. |
