Hi,
Time to modify
This is to inform you what i've tested in market orders and what i'd like to see modified.
First test : I placed an ininteressant item at low price with long duration, very different than market prices, and after i had time to see or verify my action and so possibility cancelling or modify it.
Second test : I placed a very popular item in the same spirit, low price and long duration, but this time i had no time to see or verify for cancelling or modify. Immediately the order was confirmed in the same second it was bought by a player. But i think after reflexions that it was possible by a program bot.
How it's possible to do not have time to modify market orders after verifications ? Just 30 second or 1 minute, i think it would be a good thing.
What do you think of that ?
Thanks to read me and excuse for my english if it's not the best. |

There is a 5-minute timer for modifying an order due to some busier hubs having 1 cent ISK wars going on all the time. Also reduces the load on the servers.
As for the item that sold quickly - it may not have been a bot (likely wasn't). More than likely its someone who refreshed the market pricing right then, and nabbed the item quickly. |

sorry, the word is "uninteresting", i have modified. And i'm not dutch, it's not the problem.
@Zagram Zagram thank you for your answer but I am not convinced. In the same second it would be really very very fast ... and I really can not believe it. |

I also wouldn't believe an interceptor pilot could take a half second flicker of a covert ops ship, figure its trajectory from that and uncloak it before it got out of a warp bubble. But I've seen it happen. Never underestimate the speed at which a living human can accomplish something.
For your data to be convincing you would have to replicate this over several items at least 100 times to verify the reaction speed. If the reaction speed is without variation then I would lend more credence to this being the problem. |

I'm not 100% sure what you're talking about OP, but it sounds as if for your second item you put the selling price below the buy order, so it was bought instantly. |

This sounds most probable. |

Are you talking about that "are you sure ..." warning which you sometimes get after making order and which allows you to accept or cancel it?
You get that warning only if your price is significantly below or above average price of that item. Whether item is "uninteresting" or not has nothing to do with it. Also this is often bugged for items which sells rarely, so you can get that warning when you should not. Carebear -á* -áTrader -á* -áPerfect Music-á-á* -áNever Scamming -á* -áNever Pirating |
