Ok I was mining and notice, when I look at the survey scanner and I know a roid has a low quantity and knowing how much I get from each roid or roid type every cycle. I see a roid that posseses less ore than my yield ammount. I know the roid will be depleted in less than a FULL cycle. Sometimes I might be mining 3 of the same roid types or be doing things out of game like reading forums, chating etc. and forget which miner I assigned to which roid, which brings me to my idea.
You should be able to see which miner you have assigned to which roid by a few ways like labeling the miners (next to where the locked targets are at the top of your screen and in the survey scanner results window) by their shortcut keys or labels. You should also be able to see what roid/s you're locked onto and mining in the "survey scanner results" window.
The idea is really only minor, but I think it could easily be implemented into the game and maybe wouldn't be much work? Would love to have lots of feedback on this one and any further ideas that could even expand on it.

I think you're just talking about the survery scanner right? or how much time to mine the roid? Personally I like the way mining is. I don't think mining should be about knowing how much time it will take, (though you can work it out with the cycle timer) it should be about the time you're willing to put in.

Would generally be nice to have a survey scanner tab telling which roid one has locked at the moment, with the added symbol showing that a mining laser is assigned to them.

or you could just do what i do when mining 1 cycle roids, just order your stripminers with your targets, you have three roids targeted and just do F1 for the first one, F2 for the second, F3 for the third. granted im OCD about most things so i tend to go to extreams to make this work most of the time

I agree, It is very frustrating not knowing which miner is on each specific rock, especially since its rare for me to find nice big rocks anymore. My entire region seems to of been macro mined as of late...

yes this is a great idea.....have a lil strip miner number assigned to each roid your mining so when u look at the roid it has a 1 , 2 or 3 beside it

When mining, try to keep just one beam per rock. When you get a scan that says the roid will be down early, you click on the rock in the survey scan results window, which will switch your active target to that rock. To deactivate the miner that is on that rock, simply click on the miner icon next to the target. This will deactivate THAT miner.
