I had an idea about using the units of soldiers, freedom fighters, militants etc. in battle, once a ships shields have been taken down the troops can be transported over to the other ship where they will attempt to take over the ship, if they are successful they will force the pilot to eject. Of course, the different type of troop you have the different stats you have.
Also there could be engineering units which when transported over to the ship can repair the ship, this would force the introduction of a feature that allows the pilot to have the right to drop the ships shields.
Maybe the prostitutes could be useful too...giving the enemy soldiers aids which will eventually kill them! (this part isnt serious!)
I hope this is taken into serious consideration because from the feedback i've gained, its a good idea.

This have been suggested mutiple times. Try searching for Boarding and can see the old threads witch outline the main problems with this idea. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congrated by carebears for the actions. |

We talked about this idea at Fanfest, we came out with making humans consumables.
Worked like this, I get personal who are fragil in my ship, the longer they live the more of a bonus they give pilots.
What there not is things like boarding partys etc.
A frig could have 1 personal slot, bigger ships get more etc.
The personal will have small boosts, but damage to the ship can kill them, if they get killed you have to replace them to get the bonus back. Also there killed with the ship.
I supose thay can take damage too, and require rest to recover.
Finally it would give us new POS mods, Traning bays, or bootcamp or what not.
The big problems is the bonus needs to be small, but people wont use it unless there is a cost issue that isent to big.

¦ Damage to armor or damage to hull? If damage to armor, would make shield tankers overpowered, as all their troops would be elite and all armor tanker troops would be weakling rookies :-D

Sounds fun... I always wondered why there is only a one pod inside my ships and no one there to take care of it 
But yeah to be apple to get the troop trough armor would over power the shield ships and the whole tanking would have to be redone on all ships. But i like the idea if someone gets a good idea to this. EVE atm seems not so populated as you just have the players wondering the systems. - Azrael - |

I really do hope that this is implemented into the game. I also hope when/if they do, they are creative enough to make this an extremely good feature which would improve the game.

ive carried exotic dancers with me since i started playing... would be nice if they did some thing for me =D
