Heh. Bitter much?
If you'll re-examine the post you are referring to, you'll note that there is a 'winky' () icon after it. Usually such icons are made after statements that were not serious and intended as a joke. Since you haven't been able to figure it out on your own, the following is the definition of 'joke'.
Joke (noun) 1. Something said or done to evoke laughter or amusement, especially an amusing story with a punch line. 2. A mischievous trick; a prank. 3. An amusing or ludicrous incident or situation.
Definitions 1 and 3 seem applicable to my statement regarding 'raising the price to keep out the riffraff' comment. In fact, a Calvin and Hobbes connoisseur might recognize the line as being a quote from one of those comics that I borrowed for my post.
Not much I can do about those who try to take offense at everything. Though I would suggest possibly seeking a doctor. It's evident that you have some unresolved anger issues between yourself and your family that you should have addressed before you spend too much time 'online'.

lol, you don't need to make 100k a year for $15 a month to be a very cheap form of entertainment...
seriously... make a rough estimate of how many hours a week you play, don't have to be specific. call that number P. call C the monthly fee in your currency. and H will be how much the game costs you per entertainment hour.
now (P*4)/C = H or to make the point even more, pretend its 2 accounts, so 2(P*4)/C = H
now if you can come up with a form of entertainment that is more modern then... oh, say kick the can, that is cheaper, I wanna hear about it. especially if you can get as many hours out of it as you can an MMO.
MMO's are a phenomenally cheap form of entertainment, really. and if you can afford a decent enough computer to play, and an internet connection enough to play... I could have played EQ or UO or something when they were somewhat new, and I was a teenager then.... but I was too lazy to make the money to pay for it. I could have done it, I just didn't feel like it.
how much do you really want to play, and how much should you be spending time on games, if its really a burden to pay that much?

Don't harass the devs, you wouldn't want them to release something that doesn't work would you? Better to wait a little longer than to stare at black screen for a week.

Amen.
I REALLy don't mind waiting for Shiva to be released as long as the number of bugs is minimal.

An old quote from an ancient yet similar thread ...
Quote: DUDE... get off the Dev's. They don't bother you at work do they? No, they step to the side and wait for the fries to finish cooking like everyone else.

I'd rather CCP take their time and give us a stable release than give us Shiva before it is really ready for publishing to Tranquility.
Sometimes people moaning about devs not hitting release timetables makes me sick... Look at Half Life 2... Now looks to being put back until next year.
My advice?
Learn a little patience... -------------------------------------------

Originally by: Carmen Priano As a college student, $12 a month cuts into my soda-and-pizza fund. ;) However, I also realize that, were I not playing EVE and spending that $12 monthly, I'd probably end up buying other games -- and buying even one new game every two months would be markedly more expensive. $60/2 months = $30 per month > $12 per month, or $24 per month in the case of two accounts. :p So -- I play EVE, instead of, say, buying Farcry or the latest CRPG. And y'know what? I'm pretty happy with this solution.
I fall into this catagory. I am/was one of those gamers who would buy **cough download** a game and complete it within a couple of days/weeks. I chose EVE to play from before beta for the vision of what this game will be...and frankly im prepared to wait for it.
And hell im gonna have a 20 million sp advantage when the rest of the world finds out what CCP have created.
