The back three seats come uot completely, leaving the back half of the vehicle looking like the back half of a transit van - a big empty box, which is very practical. It's an awesome car. Vega Alioth Caldari	Posted - 2008.12.13 20:30:00 - [37] ahh i failed first time with a healthy 3 majors and a tonne of minors - best major was an attempt to overtake a cyclist up a hill and round a corner - was in way too high a gear that i ended up slowing to a stop on the other side of the road next to the cyclist - slammed it into first and jerked the car forward causing my examiners papers to all go flying with a loud grunt from him. - still thought i might of passed as well. good luck with your next test - people who fail the first time are statistically better anyway (ive decided)

My high school joyrides were enough tbfh. I passed my texas driver's exam first time, im my friends old suburban. The instructor leaned in the window and told me to drive around the block. Apparently that was it, because i honestly drove around the DMV once and she flagged me down and asked me to park it. ...went out and bought a RWD v8 car as my first car that same day!

I passed first time, god knows how - I managed to stall in the middle of a cross roads blocking everything and didnt secure the car correctly. Then ****ed upon a dual carriage way, when a car pulled over and I had to force my way into the other lane, but i didnt try n get over till i was at a stop behind the now parked car. But, luckily, chatting with the examiner it turned out his kid was just starting the college I'd left that year, so I started to use my 'gift of the gab' during the test and had a laugh with him about it - it's sooo the only reason he passed me.

And I'm a terrible driver (mostly through lack of practise, but still bad). Can't park to save my life. You may have had right of way in that situation, but you have to realise that right of way means very little in a driving test. Or any situation really. The examiner is looking to see if you're safe to drive, and sticking rigidly to the rules does not make you a safe driver. If someone is faffing around on the road, you damn well let them sort themselves out and give them a wide berth. One of the worst things it is possible to have engraved on your tombstone is "He died defending his right of way". ____________________

Now I've gotta shell out for another ú100 in lessons and can't take my test til mid January. Thanks, love . . . man, its rough in the UK, when i got my liscense when i was 16 (America FTW) here in nevada the prices were, iirc (its been 6 years) Driving Permit: $10 Drive Test: like $15 or $20 i believe the good part was, you only had to pay the fee if you PASSED, if you didnt pass, didnt have to pay also, here in nevada (and the entire US i believe) you take your drive test in your own car (or your parents car, whatever) we never had "test cars" if you fail the drive test, you just keep your permit until you have to take it again i failed my first drive test by making an illegal left hand turn (i did everything else right, but the DMV was near an area under heavy construction, like no lines to seperate lanes) anyway, i made a left hand turn in from the fast lane took the test again a few weeks later, came to the DMV and took a standby made the exact same f'ing mistake, left hand turn from the fast lane HOWEVER, this drive test instructor was pretty cool, we came back to the DMV and i took the parrallel parking, got within like 6 inches after we went in, my mom asked how bad i messed up, and the instructor said i did good, except i made the illegal left hand turn, but apparently that instructor "likes to look at the whole exam", and since i did pretty much perfect on everything else, he let me pass have only had one ticket and one accident since then (accident WAS my fault, but it was just a a small crack in the other driver's bumper on his already junky car, if anything, i made the back look the same as the front and evened it out a little. . . . . the ticket was a red light ticket because i pushed a yellow light and it turned red while i was in the intersection those damn sneaky motorcycle cops. . . It took me 3 tries to get my theory certificate, because of performance anxiety. Took pills to counter this the third time which seemed to help a bit. Now I have failed two tries at the actual driving exam. The first time because I was driving past a school and kids on their bikes were making a sport out of it to exit the schoolyard and slip in front of the car in one smooth go. Trying my best not to drive over them I noticed too late I was about to drive into a street I was not allowed to enter. So yeah, my own fault I guess. Second time was entering the highway and the cars in front of me were going very slowly. Nobody on the highway seemed to care to leave a little room for me either. Not wanting to squeeze myself between them at low speed I had to wait till the last moment to do this. So at the end I get told that appearantly I should have slowed down, create distance between the cars in front of me, and then pull up so I could enter the highway at full speed. Would have been nice if they had told me about this during driving lessons >_> My problem with the driving exam isn't so much performance anxiety but the fact these situations never pop up during the lessons and improvising was never my forte. My current teacher however keeps complaining about small details which means I have stopped listening to him and stubbornly do things my way, which ain't helping either. Asked for a new teacher this time around for my own sanity and his and I hope it will help. I understand why it is important to correct the mistakes that others make but it does indeed seem like they need to earn enough money off you before they let you pass Diary of a pod pilot

There was nowhere to go as there were cars on both sides of the road. I executed the maneuver really quick because the car bumper coming towards me was nearly touching the floor and his face was almost stuck to the window trying to stop. The examiner suggested I should've stopped. I pointed out that there was nowhere for the guy to go and he would've hit us. So I got away with it. /start sig I love old characters that post 'I've beeen playing the game four years' when I know their account has been sold on. /end sig

Instead the classes are optional but you get a discount on your insurance (which can be ridiculously expensive for a new driver) for taking it. I took mine in September of 2000 on the same day as my sister. I'll never forget, she was ****ed because I passed flawlessly while she failed horribly. It was priceless. She ran over the parking cones trying to pull her car into a parking space (the very first thing they have you do).

It does suck a bit about the fail right at the end, but you're obviously up to the standard. Hopefully next time you'll rinse it and it'll be that much sweeter. Good luck! I got two left-reverses [guy I had was a nutter!], emergency stop [great fun!] and that reverse park at the end. I don't have to book extra lessons, but the closest I can get a re-test is in mid January due to the Xmas break, and since I'm not insured on any of our family cars I need at least a bit of practice between now and then, or I will get rusty [perhaps it didn't help that I had flu for a fortnight before my test and had to rush in a lot of lessons in the four days up to it].

Just have to chime in on this... because... Whenever I see a Fiat Multipla I have to think of a fat womans foot in a shoe thats a number or two too small. You know what I mean? When the fat gets compressed and kind of "pours out" on top of the shoe? You did see that quite a bit in "Married with children". And that's exactly how the original Fiat Multipla looks like. But let's not kid ourselves. Cars all pretty much look the same within a decade (only the comparatively expensive ones look like ass individually). I mean there are models from different makers and rivalling companies that even have the same window line. And im not talking about "similar" im talking completely the same. That being said, the multipla at least tries to look different. ish. They stopped making pretty cars in the seventies, anyway.

This. This and totally completely this. The ouside is the only drawback. Apart from typical Fix-It-Again-Tomorrow (F.I.A.T) problems, hehe.
