Sojet Gallente Mixed Metaphor	Posted - 2008.12.11 23:43:00 - [1] Ello, I'd love to try my hand at sniping, since it seems like a pretty fun concept to one hit everything below a Battlecruiser. I get the impression that the most important stats to have are number of turret slots, optimal range and lock times. Now I've been through the database and to me, the ship that stands out with these characteristics is the Matari Ragnarok. This is my trial fit, and really my first dab at sniping, so please don't hesitate to point out flaws. Ragnarok: Highs- 6x Quad 3500mm Siege Artillery with Angel's Titanium Sabot, Cloaking Device II, Gjallarhorn. Mids- 4 Cormack's Sensor Booster, 3 Cormack's Tracking Computer Lows- 3 Tobias's Tracking Enhancer, 3 Tobias's Gyrostabiliser Rigs- 2 Locus Accelerator II, Locus Accelerator I Drones- 5 Garde II (just in case they get close) According to EFT, this gives me an awesome 10,122 volley damage (though a paltry 1132 DPS), as well as a 200mm Scan Resolution. Its pretty good considering the payload. And of course, it can lock to 250km (not that noobish ). And if things get real hairy, I can always use the Gjallarhorn to wipe up any leftover hitpoints. So, any advice for my setup? Is there a better way to maximise my damage? Cheers! _________________________________________ Animals have the right to be tasty. Unfortunately, to get that sort of damage I need a Siege module, which really gimps over my targetting. That sort of alpha is awesome, but only if I can lock a target to fire it on. I would ditch one or two tracking enhancer for a cap rep and maybe a damage control ... Flying something that expensive with a kleenex tank would worry me a little ... but thats just me.
