Mickey Simon Noir.	Posted - 2008.12.15 18:13:00 - [4] My most fun 1vx was probably against a pilot named Kassieli. I was in a Hawk, she was in a Vexor. I flipped her bait, and she engaged. I was eating her Vexor down, so she brought in a Blackbird alt to help her out. Between her and her alt they couldn't kill me, so she switched out to a Manticore on the alt and warped back in at closish range with cruises. I switched targets and got the Manticore, and her alt switched back out to the Blakcbird. After a while, I noticed my shields were slowly dropping, so ejected from my ship because I thought I'd give her the ship for such a good fight. They ended up not noticing my ejection and blew my Hawk up before a ninja-looter ran past and grabbed my deadspace shield booster =P I lost, but it was a good fight. Meanwhile, on the other side of town . . .

The best fights and the reason why I'm still playing this game, is the fights I get into knowing I'm screwed, but somehow manage to get the upper hand. There's nothing like going into a fight as the underdog. One of my favorite fights ever is from the movie "Mega night out", if you're interested, there's a link to it in my sig. Mega Night Out!

Running about in black rise I see a cerb, Thought to myself I'd engage it at a gate, So we were bashing away at each other, my armor going down quite fast and the cerb's sheilds going down quite fast as well, As I'm MWDing towards it I realise it's running out of point range as it was hitting quarter armor and manage's to just get out of dodge, I was almost into struct, ( dunno who would of won but I was repping so I recon it would of been me) Was a awesome fight in every way, but was a pity he got away

We were slugging it out and it was a heavyweight bout. I actually didn't turn my invul's on until I was less than 50% shield (yeah I forgot to turn them on before the fight after jumping in)We were toe to toe just trading punches the entire way, When I died he was about 94% into his struct. Was a good fight even though I lost probably one of the best 1v1 I've had.

I finally redocked with 12% structure. It took a lot of micro-managing of my modules to keep him around 15km without busting my cap. He died just as the 10 man back-up squad arrived and ganked me. 8)

Vagabond was chasing me around asteroid belts, I'd always wait in the belt aligned, and the warp the second he got in, to make it look like I was "scared". 3-4 belts later, I just sat on the warp to zero point, webbed the vaga and bye bye. As for the Deimos, explosive damage drones on an explosive resist hole ftw. Engaged a bait Maller outside of a FW station as an outlaw ( I know...), Rapier/Stealth Bomber uncloaks. Overheat everything, pound the Maller, we are both hitting structure fast. He explodes and 2-3 seconds later I explode. Well, trade a Rupture for a Maller. Checking the killmail, his corpmate in a Stealth Bomber hit him for 500 ish damage, blowing up his own bait in the name of kill mail whoring. Had an inty holding the stabber in place but it didn't do more than 500 damage, I wasn't sure if it had warp stabs. In the end I was on around 80% structure with no cap boosters left before he popped. Had my heart racing, even more so that on the other side of the gate we engaged at was a system with over 30 in local at the time.

Link i like this one also Link warped to an icefield with hulk and scorpion, i insta aggro scorpion with jamming drones, he panic (start to shoot ECM hornets, then jam me, i bump him very hard, and then he died, horribly.

Nahnil Zawa's Fan Club	Posted - 2008.12.15 23:58:00 - [26] Quite long ago I was roaming alone mostly fruitlessly around genesis and kor azor in hurricane when I ran into another hurricane and being desperate ask for a duel, he accepts. Was a very close fight, he had ecm drones, ex/kin/therm resist rigs, rep, plate, 2 eanms, dc and 1 gyro, I had trimarks, plate, eanm, dc and 3 gyros, regular drones. Lost lock 2 times but managed to compensate thanks to better rig choice and by doing more damage, in the end I was in hull when he popped. We both used hail, was rather fast and furious. IIRC it was just after finishing BC lvl5 so it came as a nice reward for traning the skill. Another one was more recent, friendly duel rifter vs rifter against a blue guy. He had slaves and plate, I used MSE/web/scram mid slot combo, so was shield tanked with dc and 2 overdrives in lows to compensate for no speed module. I also have minmatar frig lvl4, he has lvl5. I lost with him at 59 hp hull.
Temujin Ambaghai	Posted - 2008.12.16 06:50:00 - [27] i've had a lot of good duels around hek, when i was still fairly new i had a go at a wolf thinking it was a rifter in my punisher and ended up beating him with about 7% of my structure left Linkage then just recently i had a couple duels against a guy named bukker in hek the first one went his way, couldn't get a lock on his drone to kill it and didn't have any way to really slow him down enough to hit well with my blasters, had him down to low structure and we went back and forth trying to gain transversal, my puni took a beating. he said after this first fight that he'd used 700 cn navy antimatter rounds on me, and that he only had 15 left in each gun at the end of the fight. Linkage the next duel i had against him i fit a neut to see if that would help, ended up winning this time with 11% structure left Linkage

Allahs Warrior Gallente Justified Hedonism And Dualism	Posted - 2008.12.16 08:39:00 - [30] Hmmm... 1v x fights huh. Well I've only been in the PVP scene for two weeks, and I've had some great fights. Tristan vs Cormorant was a pretty great fight. I dont have a killmail link, not sure how to give one. It wasn't this accnt anyway. But it was this corp (PVP trial alts ftw!) My tristan canswapped and he engaged, 6 railguns versus 2 blasters and a drone (and nos/nuet combo). My 33% capacitor + nosferatu was able to maintain constant armor repair while orbiting at 1000m at 300m/s (no afterburner necessary). Not sure if that was the best decision, but it worked. Took down the month+ old destroyer in my 14 day old frig with no problems. My favorite loss was against a guy I believe was named AAtlas, I killed his alt (in a punisher) with my tristan and he came in a hawk, I let him scoop my can and fired on him after a little consideration. My tristan's nos/nuet definitely wasn't enough to kill his frig cap, not sure why tho. Musta had something to counter it after seeing me use it on his alt. Anyway, his all missile setup was beating out my tank, so I started to run, got 12km away and then he started catching up, so I said gf in local, came back for a charge and warped my pod out. Although my favorite fight overall was me and my friend (both in t1 frigs) vs two year-old cruiser pilots, both fight-fit. We both barely maintained our tanks to trade out tackle-time (whiel the other warps away and back to get some repair time) but we got the osprey and the caracal with an imicus (inorite) and a rifter. However just today, my vexor, my friend's rifter, and a drake (who we enlisted to help purely out of nowhere) took on two ferox's and a scorpion, killed both ferox's and the scorp got away (my vexor didnt have a scram for stupid reasons). That was about an hour long fight though as I originally was in a tristan and we couldn't break the one ferox's tank (the other 2 ships didnt have aggro on us) Oh yeah sidenote, this is all highsec pirating on a trial account, both me and my rifter friend. Woohoo amirite? After only 12 days with my corp we've racked up over 12 highsec kills, most being cruisers or mining barges, and only lost t1 frigs or rookie ships, and even then less ships than we've killed.
