I still solo all the time, sure there are less targets but with some knowledge of your target area it's doable.

Makes sense too. Smaller ship = cheaper; cheaper = more "oh what the heck, let's duke it out" attitude.

You should be glad the mods are tolerant of stupidity. Normal people would burn these troll threads with plasma fire.
If you're going to make a ridiculous argument as "solo pvp is dead" when its obviously not, you should at least try to be convincing. That way, you can feel smart and we can feel entertained.

Solo pvp is dead. I do not get solo fights in my Ishkur or Thorax or whatever T1 frig I'm not annoyed at at the moment. The pages of crap in my combat log is a figment of my imagination.
I attacked a Falcon once. He jammed me and warped off. I lol'd and continued with my life.

There are multiple reasons why solo PvP is dead or at least very rarely. Numbers of players has trippled in 3 years, more higher character SP, Jump-Drives, -Portals, -Bridges, the appearance of a lot of very specialised ships, Nano..
There are a lot of reasons, but in a way solo is still alive, if you consider flying yourself with your falcon Alt and Cloak, solo PvP.

Of you could have been smart and started training your Falcon alt months ago. They bring a falcon, you uncloak your alt and jam them all. SOLO PVP LIVES! Just with two monitors :-)

Back in my own (highsec) yarring days I got tons of Velator kills (including a Catalyst) - it's actually a very good ship, for the sole reason it's so often underestimated.

Solo PvP is not dead because of Falcons or ECM, to suggest this is pure rubbish.
Solo PvP is rare these days because the situations that present players with the chance for combat on the small scale just don't exist in any reliable fashion. There are of course exceptions, but in general this is the case.
I could wax on the subject, but what it boils down to is low-sec requires incentives that motivate players into exposing themselves, incentives that can be completed alone if possible. The more brigandish of players would then find a greater selection of targets and far more mirth in their endeavors.
Barring this, then high-sec combat arena's are the only other solution if you want reliable solo or small group pvp. Otherwise you are going to always be facing the very likely potential of being out-numbered, then coming to the forums to complain that you were out-numbered, but blaming your lack of fun on ECM (yay bandwagon) rather than the fact that, gasp, players worked together for mutual protection.
