The old items database had a tab for each item listing the NPC corps that sold it
This was actually quite useful as it meant not having to randomly fly around regions trying to find a place that sells a particular BPO.
Also useful for linking up which NPC corps bought and sold various trade goods and thus find trade routes
Was the omission from the new Eve wiki on purpose or merely an oversight?

This was likely changed on purpose, as was the removal of the same data from the data dump.
The expectation is that you will gain a competitive edge by researching the markets yourself. In practice, just hope onto Eve Central and look for buy/sell orders with a duration of 364 days.

I agree with Spoon here; it's still possible to research what each NPC Corporation is buying and selling using the Market Activity tab in game, so this isn't going to make market research more competitive, just more tedious.
Removing NPC Market information from the Item Database creates an unnecessary inconvenience for anyone trying to find out where to buy their blueprints - I thought the purpose of the EVElopedia was to make it easier to find this kind of information. |

It's a wiki, just add it if you think it should be there. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

The Item Database pages cannot be edited. Even if they could be, there are hundreds of items on the NPC market being bought and sold by dozens of corporations - why should people have to contribute and then verify all that data when it could be compiled automatically like the rest of the database has been? |

I think you've got it 100% right there. I would like to see this added back in as well.

While I can agree that it should perhaps be added by ccp but are wrong about item database being locked. The item data itself is locked but you can add new data and information below if you want. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

CCP confirmed that this was deliberate with multiple forum posts already, do a forum search for it. _
