Hello All!
On the 23rd of this month, the 4th annual Holiday Spirit Event will be taking place in-game.
Here's how it works:
I'll be announcing in the Help channel (in game) the location that I have picked this year for the event.
Anyone who wants to come around then flies to that system.
When you get there you say hello, dock up, and I'll hand you holiday gifties!
There will be numerous drawings for more extreme gifts as the day goes on.
There is only one rule to follow - you must be IN THE SYSTEM the event is happening in when the drawings for uberprizes happen.
Registration for the drawings is automatic as soon as you are handed your free gift in the station.
This year there are literally billions of isk worth of goodies that will be given out. Perhaps we'll have the largest ship conga line in EvE history? Bring your snowballs!
The gifties come in all shapes and sizes, but I try to keep them within your racial makeup and preferred skillset.
Special drawing prizes range from complete sets of implants, T2 ships (fully fitted), T2 mods, blueprints, and the biggest gift prizes of this year beat all the previous years by far!
Grand Gift is an Officer/Faction/T2 fit BS
Other BS's with Faction/T2 gear are also in the holiday sack!
I hope to see you ALL on the 23rd.. the system will be announced on that date.
Lastly, there is NO COST to join in the festivities.

Ah yes.. I forgot to mention that part lol.
The Event is going to be held in a safe Empire System. It has already been picked and the gifts are currently being wrapped up and fitted for the day :)
The Security Level of the system this year is 0.9
In the past these events have been run in Amarr, Caldari and Gallente space.. so you might be able to get a hint as to where it will be this year ;)

I'm on the East Coast U.S. and I usually start the event in the afternoon (my time).
It goes and goes until I either run out of stuff to hand out (hasn't happened yet) or I fall asleep (happens on a daily basis).

If you follow the link I posted earlier, you'll see that the "It's a Trap" reference was made then too :)
There is no age limit, everyone is welcome and everyone will get something just for showing up. No fees, no need to join a corp, no isk begging, no deposits, no lame scams - just free stuff and fun - all in the safety of Empire space :)
Last year we got a parade going outside the station with over 100 ships in it :)
I started this yearly tradition for a reason - it's what got me going in EvE. When I was about 1 month old there was a pilot who was giving away goodies in a station 30 jumps from where I was based. He gave me the stuff I needed to get a head start in my profession, and I thrived from it.
The following year I tried to contact him to see if he would like a donation to the cause, if he planned on doing it again, as thanks for the boost he provided to me. I found out that he had stopped playing, so I took the helm for the event and have been doing it every year since. I even created this toon, just for this event :)
Gotta get back to the build queue now.. lots to do :)

I'm headed for bed after getting everything ready for tommorrow.
I'll post here with the location once I'm online and geared up, with a blanket on my lap, plenty of food at my beck and call, and enough tom and jerry batter to keep me all toasty for a long time :)

And here we go!
The location you seek is Yuzier :)
A quick rundown of how this event works:
1. Get to Yuzier
2. Dock in the Fleet Assembly Plant (maybe say hello in local too)
3. Tell me what kind of pilot you are, or what you intend to become (miner, combat, science)
4. I'll give you a gift through the trade window in the station
Every person who docks and gets a gift is automatically entered for chances to get additional stuff throughout the day.
The only requirement for getting additional goodies is: You Must Be In The Yuzier System when I pull your name!
The event continues until I either run out of stuff to give out, or I fall asleep, and there are hundreds of gifts to give.
Though it is not 'required', I would ask that those who are involved in wars refrain from fighting in Yuzier during the Event.
There is no way for me to stop you from shooting one another, of course, but you might just get some carbon in your stocking. My elves are watching you!
I've got enough stuff to have special drawing giveaways for hours, so stick around!
Forming up conga lines, having snowball fights, racing around the station and having a lot of fun is encouraged!
