the "March patch" is in reality our next expansion, which will include a retail box distribution from Atari. We have a ton of information available, including wormholes, and tech 3, in our keynotes from this year's Fanfest.
The direct link is this: http://myeve.eve-online.com/download/videos/Default.asp?a=download&vid=192, however you're more than welcome to check out the other Fanfest videos here.

The videos more or less state what the expansion is about. I wouldn't say it gives a ton of information. We have no clue on how any of that stuff works, or how it gets integrated.

Someone said that the March 'Expansion' will also include Walking in Stations - Ive watched all the fanfest video's but I missed it if there was any mention of wether or not it will be included.
compared to Empyrean age, QR didnt really seem like an 'expansion' more of a large patch, so it looks like new content is being spread very thin in order to keep up with the "2 expansions a year" objective.
If they are releasing a box edition I really hope they dont skimp and sc****, its a unique opportunity to get new players, and actually keep them! I think WiS would go along way to that end.

With the walking in station expansion there will be an additional planet in Jita, a very dark one, they call it "World of Darkness" you can walk there but be careful, it will have vampires and werewolves

I am wondering if the options to produce implants would be included into the next expansion. It was first announced as one of the features being prepared for QR but has since then quietly disappeared with no further info.

Yes, the final round of the Renovation project (of which the Trinity expansion was the first) is planned for the March expansion. That includes all objects, and audio and visual effects. But not planets.

What does that mean when it says the missions will be organized in trees with various experiences depending on success? When part 1 of mission is completed you go to 2a, if part 1 is failed you go to 2b? When is a mission considered a failure? When you reject it?

When you say final, does that mean that planets won't get a graphic overhaul? And thanks for your replay to my question

wait.. I know the places I've worked aren't CCP but... you sure you can't get some silly intern to make higher rez versions of the planets? That way at least they will look better but won't take too much work to do so? Saving a total revamp for the future?
Just something simple.
edit: oh and...

crazy idea, but maybe with changing rendering methods, the planets will automagically look somewhat better. but yes. look at X3 for awesome planets. and the nebulae! set them on fire! turn on a blower! away with them! clean space up! i dont want to fly my spaceship around someones' frakkin guts (red space) However, I still think EvE needs more and better tactical warning sounds.

Edited by: sg3s on 23/12/2008 03:32:43 Yeah they renovated the content we would be looking at most first... They figured that were the ships first... but thats a grave error because no matter how you turn or twist it, as long as you're in space 90% of what you see is the background stars and nebulas etc, unless ofcourse you have a lot of windows open (which they also did not change in any way).
I want see planets tbh, but the backgrounds is something that has been bothering me since shortly after I started playing. It's about time I put something sensible in here, but I couldn't really come up with something so you'l have to do with this. Are you like really bored, or did you not notice this is my sig? |

Does this mean that you're going to leave the planets as they are for the foreseeable future? Because they're showing their age horrifically.
I can't imagine they'll do a good impression on people who buy the box. Hell, I thought they looked horrid when I started playing in january 2005 ... ... and I really think they should boost T2 plate HP.
