Haha, see this is the very reason why GTC prices will continue to go lower and lower. Someone always breaks the code, and sells below the going avg. just to make a quick buck, not knowing that in the long run, the whole economy will suffer. For example; if I brought a stockpile of GTCs and starting selling em' for 450M apiece, pretty soon the rest of ya would have to follow.
I remember I once bought all the T2 Spike S in Jita. Cost like 200-300M. I spread it out across the surrounding systems for double the price, and lemme tell ya, not only did every single unit sell, but when the T2 manufacturers resupplied their stock, their new prices were in line with mine. It's simple supply and demand, ppl have been using GTCs for far too long to stop using em' just cause the price went up a few hundred mil'
If only there was some way to give incentives to those who followed suit and increased prices... maybe a corp...
They're not 'breaking the code', they're conducting their own business on their own terms, free of price-fixing cartels. There is no code, there is only zul greed. It is not a 'going average' if it's an artificially gouged priced. Everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it, but the converse is also true - everything is worth its vendor will sell it for, and people will undercut you, whether out of spite for your price-fixing or out of getting the quick sale. Ain't no two ways about it.

i for one did stop buying gtc when price went to 600+ million which is too much allready in my opinion.
now im back to paying with cash as it gives me so much more time to actually play the game instead off mindless grinding for earning iskies.
