Balance, nerf, ambulation, new ships/skills added, server upgrades....Eve Online is evolving.
Love it or hate it....its the game we pay for, love and love to hate. But as I sit here floating in a void of nothing, watching local whine about the grid not loading, there is only one thing on my mind at this moment.
Jita system 1---and Jita system 2. If this is still such a big problem and has been for so long, just add another system already  I mean i'ts Cyber space... It doesnt actually have to really all be in one system does it? We can just pretend.....

As sharding doesn't help EVE, Slicing the problem in half won't make it weight less.

Officials have closed the stargates in Jita due to heavy congestion. Travellers are advised to seek alternate routes.
I am stuck in perimeter trying to get in.

High tailed it to Amarr space... but Jita actually screwed up my client so I had to restart it. Smooth sailing now.
Jita seems to be screwing up every system from Motsu to Kaimon.

I had the same problem. 40mins later go moved to NC. Other people reporting heavy lag around the area.

There are already hundreds of other systems (dozens right near Jita) that it could spread out to. It doesn't, because people are stupid and go there anyway. If they made a Jita1 and Jita2, there would be 1200 people in Jita1 complaining that we need a Jita3, because they're lagging.

no what they need to do it turn jita into one big station so when you jump into jita you are actualy docking in the mega station.

yep. its all those trit market orders that are mostly doing the weight. If anything, there should be a time limit for how long you can be idle for. take out all them afkers.

Heh, I was just stuck in Jita, logged off and back on. The client said that the system was too congested and sent me to another system of my choice. Maybe others should try that?

ya I made a comment to my bro I was in stacmon heading to neb... and as I got closer to jita the lag got really bad the last few jumps on avg took 5 min...

Splitting the server isn't gonna do a lick of good... Jita is great because it is ALL in one location, less jumping to buy a full fit for a ship.
That's what makes trade hubs awesome :)

Just make Jita 4-4 into a station that is the size of a small moon
where you can dock from different grids. And get rid of all the other stations.

Actually what should happen is that all stations become bigger with added T3 components(eh? eh?) according to the traffic a station gets daily/weekly/monthly.

Well, actually it only looks like jita is back on a low power blade instead of being in a high power one.
As of late i've seen more than 1k clients in local ad now the system is frozen with 830.
Btw, i really like the idea of having a trade hub station with multiple exit points

They have added another system — a whole bunch of them in fact, and they've been there since day 1 — you just refuse to go there. You can't shard away a player-made problem.

It's not a player-made problem. Before CCP hit Eve with their usual sledge hammer 'fixes' Jita was laggy but manageable. This problem is purely CCP. Because of their 'fix' 850-odd people have been camping in Jita all day, refusing to leave (many probably worry they won't be able to get back in again if they do), and no-one else has been able to get in. As a result, more and more people will create Jita alts and stay in there full time.
