May I also put in a plug for "family" names on any account, so you can see who the alts are?
This kind of thing is just sad. Most every game I have ever played the GMs do what they can to stop things like this. If you want it to be a valid profession then fine, but at least make it so we can know who the main character is.

often this sort of corp thief is the type that imagines stealing a few sweets is a major international bullion heist.
I could well be wrong but the "generous donations" are probably quite exicting to the nobby-no-mates of this world but might not add up to a fat lot but annoyance to the corps involved.
Still, while these fools keep shouting about their uber-theft skills it keeps all other corps on their toes.
For god sake CEO's and Directors, limit the access people have to corp hangars.
ALL original BPO's should be kept away from harm.
Put some BPC's out for corp members if that is your corp structure.
Other than that, keep items of importance in personal hangars, it is only the work of a moment, to make sure the people you want to have access to the item has access with the escrow screen.
It might take a moment, but you will be glad the effort was made if it keeps the corp assets safe.
Unfortunately these are the steps you will have to take (and more) to stop these corp thieves. It is an inconvenience but if you do not like it, then band together and collect the names of corp thiefs and pod repeatedly until they get the idea.

In many instances unless they know a respected member within the corp they wish to join the doors are shut.
These people can be brought into the corp but there is no reason to give them access to anything within the corp.
If they are a decent member they will prove themselves, if they are a corp thief there are easier corps to steal from and without any indication of when they will get access to corp hangars (and even then the access is going to be so low grade, it will be stealing warp core stabs for them) it is going to get very dull very quick for them.
Any members that are not "active" within your corp, dont be afraid to boot them, they add nothing and if they are spies or thieves they have the potential to be very damaging.
Just kick them out, having 150 members is no good if it is 140 spies, alts, thieves or other potential idiots giving your corp a bad name and 10 people that are actually on line having some fun.
Kick the 140, you will not even miss them.

i would suggest CCP have VERY good reasons for tracking corp thieves and putting a stop to the practice.
There are certain things which are not allowed by CCP and maybe items from corp thefts could well end up being traded in ways in which CCP does not allow.
If they want to restrict such a flow, then stop the corp thieves in their tracks.

my corp has a friend corp that got robbed. one of their members sold his account whith out telling anyone so now they lost a lot. this is a big problem and my corp and our badest hangar emtied. it was not worh so much but its irritaiting.

Sure, you could have strapped 8 miner 2's to an apoc and stripmined a 1.0 belt full of Veld in a fraction of the time, while all the time watching a portable TV set up in your room 'cos you're BORED ****LESS.

The last corp thief I met... I ruined his eve life so much I wonder if he quitted eve... Not only he didn't manage to steal anything, but I killed his only BS, podkilled him, and made sure any corp he joined did the same. Some time later I heard he was in a frig trying to mine to get some money.

Can I ask a dumb question? Why are even alt's in the game? Seriously, what's the point of having alt's since you can't train skills for both characters at the same time. If you've made a bad choice of a character, you're stil better off sticking with it than starting a new one.

Can I ask a dumb question? Why are even alt's in the game? Seriously, what's the point of having alt's since you can't train skills for both characters at the same time. If you've made a bad choice of a character, you're stil better off sticking with it than starting a new one.
All I can see alt's being useful for, are for scammers, thieves and other undesirable types.

Hmm, no. Alts are usefull enough allright. Removing them is not the solution.
I have an alt that flies interceptors. Very useful when you're main is stuck somewhere across the galaxy from a fight you'd like to be in.

Not only character selection screenshots might help to protect your assets - a look at the name of someone never harms. "Little Jessie" ... /me chuckles ... I bet, the "real" characters name is not much better.
Edited/added: After your vacation, you should clean my hangar ... maybe you can add 5m or so to your own wallet

This game is not about making ISK, so you can't measure it that way. Pirates gank people for fun, not for ISK. I work in a boring office all day, last thing I want to do of an evening is bore myself silly mining Ark.
BTW - I am a main with over 6 mill SP. And my character was designed to look innocent and suck in dumb male players. However, I do have an alt who is a corp thief, but works in a different way. Rather than go for hangar clearances I slowly bleed away choice items. This way you don't build up a suspicious corp history, plus if you are lucky you can get access to the big hangar one day. My current victim here is unknowingly 25+ mill lighter.
But you just can't top the downright audaciousness and chucklesomeness of wiping out every last nickle and dime mod and unit of ammo. I have stolen tens of thousands of missiles in a single swoop before.
And I don't just clear hangars. Sometimes I trash mining ops and kill corp indies when I a ready to leave. Even the police don't come when you kill corp mates. It's just the sheer shock it causes which amuses me.
So watch out, one of my alts might be coming to a corp near you!

People steal billions from a single corp all the time. THAT's a corp thief. I could take 50 million worth of stuff from my own corp alone and they wouldn't even notice.

No we didn't . . . but she was only in a shuttle. One of our associates caught her approaching a stargate in 0.3 space. Sensor boosters, passive targetting, tachyon, smart bomb, shield hardener, warp to planet. I came and collected the corpse personally, but if she'd had any cargo it was collected by a passer-by.
I gather she was seen in local and so our guy just sat at the gate with the sensor boosters running hoping she came his way.
Man, I love it when a plan comes together!

ah well we can all at least be comfortable in the knowledge that CCP allows this kind of piracy with out any real means of counteracting it unless your like us and never hand out real access. EVE isnĘt just a PvP game, its a screw the other player as much as you can (and then sell your account) game. I think of it like Croquet, you can play for the goals or you can knock the otherĘs balls out of the way. One way is purely your skills against their the other is being a bugger.
