Is it possible to become employee of a npc pirate corp like guristas? If yes, will npc pirates belonging to that corp stop attacking you?

Several people have wondered that but nobody ever managed to answer it.
Some say that once you reach a standing of 8.0 they stop shooting you.
Nobody knows for sure though.

i have enough standing to use guristas and serp (and probably angel etc) agents, but they still shoot me. I'm not sure if i could dock at their bases or not, this is a question i'd like to know the answer to aswell...

Getting enough standing to use their Low LEve/Q agents isnt very special. 
Most people can if your standing isnt to far below 0.

Just a thing to add:
Even if it is possible to join then, youll still need a certain amount of standing to do so.
And since all their agents are out in 0.0 you prolly wont last long vs the alliances there.
I tried, took them about an hour to gank my ass.
