I don't think the question is applicable, because I'd guess we're talking about brand new ships, not modifying existing ships. I think we'll end up with a myriad of trade-offs - some people will put lots of launchers/turrets at the expense of cargo and shielding. Others will add lots of cap and CPU, and a ton of ECM mids, but no highs. There will be limits on how many modules you can stack together I'm sure. It saves CCP the trouble of inventing new ships in every patch if you ask me, so it's a shrewd move on their part.

I'm thinking about 8 missile slots with the Golems 100% damage bonus, approx 200 m3 dronebay and enough tank to last thru lev 4 missions without warpout. Nightmare with 8 Tahyion lasers would do the trick also prolly for me (regardless of price as that would be my very own iskprinting machine). |

I'll probably be trying to produce a Caldari gun platform of some kind with decent engines.

It didn't, as they have no base. They just have 5 sections, with 5 choices in each section, that when put together create a new item/ship.

t1 = 2 bonuses
t2 = t1 bonuses + 2 bonuses
t3 = t1 bpnuses + t2 bonuses + 2 more bonuses!!!?!?!?!?!?
5 parts, 5 chioces, 5 bonuses?!
do you choose the hull parts and then choose a bonus set, single bonuses, are bonuses for the ships parts attached to each part?
will each part add or reduce speed, agility, armor, shield etc.

Its not based on a t1 or t2 hull I think, so bonuses are seperate. I think you get 5 bonuses, 1 for each part. Each part will probably require a different skill for the bonus, so very skill heavy. |

Will be interesting to see the unexpected lulzop builds that you know will be dreamed up. I'm going for a pocket bs myself with cruiser hp and bs damage. Perfect for extra mission or roaming gank dps as long as the price is reasonable.

I can almost see these new T3 trumping both the t1 and t2 that they will either become obsolete and useless, or atleast a huge drop in prices of t2 ships below the size of a BS. |

True that. Everything in existence is about balance. I am really looking forward to the extremely hard decisions that will come with T3 ships, thus expanding EVE Online's already extensive sandbox. |

Almost. But even moar fragile and can apply bs dps out to medium range and not lolblaster range so as to be actualy useful in a given situation.

No its only cruiser sized hulls as per the official info from the new EON magazine. You might end up with a large sized combination but it wont be as big as a bs. From what I can tell the whole concept of T3 ships so far is to be able to make a ship that does exaxtly what you need it to in a single given role. Basically the ultimate specialized ship.

hmm, because to do that, they'd have to read the dev blogs etc. but hey , let them dream and train for ships that are gonna stay the way they are.
but yeah seriously, if u guys think u can add "module" slots to existing ships, think again, that would just be bye bye balancing and everyone would train for 1 ship. and ur own bonuses? please...
