Torothin Amarr Infecti0n	Posted - 2009.01.08 20:08:00 - [1] Just got some very bad news this morning and feel this post should be fitting for an old friend. On December of 2003 my friend Monoxide introduced me to this game while we were in college. We lived on the same hall. I was fascinated with the game. I asked to play it some and ended up self-destructing his dominix 5 minutes into gameplay. Safe to say that did not go well but I was hooked and started playing eve. After mining with stronghold corp for 6 months and seeing some solid PvP in the SA vs. CA war being on SA's side I decided I wanted to pursue other options so Monoxide and I decided to form a corp called Gatekeepers. We basically took a rag tag bunch of miners I trained them how to PvP and Monoxide handled the industrial and logistics of the corp. We quickly earned a reputation around the KBP7 area. We controlled it and the only opposition we faced was from Dirty Deeds Corp. Other than that we reigned terror among that area for 10 months until we were asked to join CA. From there we moved to Curse. QFEW if I remember correctly and learned to operate in 0.0 as a corp. Granted we took our beating from Dalman and company running around in their blasterthrons but we had alot of fun out there and developed as a corp. 2 years later we went our seperate ways but always talked to eachother whenever we logged on. Gatekeepers did not last but the players that came out of it are now in BOB, Invicta, and honestly we had alot to do with making Slacker Industries what it is today. I kept looking for that green light to see when Monoxide would come online and ask him to join my corp but he never did. I come to find out that he passed away last night due to health problems. I felt this post would be fitting for him because he is the one that introduced me to this great game. You will be missed my friend.........

I flew with him for several months while he was part of Resistance is Futile and when he joined us in Mining Bytes, Inc. He was a great person to talk with and was very knowledgeable about many things in game and in life. Rest well my friend.

Originally by: Torothin Gatekeepers did not last but the players that came out of it are now in BOB, Invicta, and honestly we had alot to do with making Slacker Industries what it is today. There are many players who make SL what it is, and a large number of our longtime base did start in GKS. You however, were not one of them. Next time you forget this, remember how many different characters you had to rejoin with when you sold the previous one for things like paying for your girlfriend's abortion. Good day.

He was a Police officer was he not? Just confirming that we are talking of the same person. I am sorry for the loss he was a good freind, and corp mate.... We decided to give Eve a try and joined the Mankind Corporation forming up in eve called Xenotek. (Which became Resurrection) When he felt the rules of the Fountain Alliance (anti piracy mostly) were holding him back he decided to leave us and formed Gatekeepers with his Dorm room friend. I recall talking to Torothin and him asking if there was a self destruct ships and talked him through where it was never expecting him to blow up monos Domi. This is indeed sad news and he will be greatly missed by all of us that knew him. Our prayers go out to his friends and family. Sad news indeed. Anyone that ever knew mono I am sure will know exactly what I am talking about. In all the time I have played eve I have not found anyone that I would trust as much as I did mono, he was much more then just a corp mate for a long time, he was a true friend. He will be missed by many.

Thing i find strange is someone decided to write a nice good bye to a friend and in doing so tried to tell us a bit of history about the 2 of them. Then so called friends decide to try and put down the person who let everyone know fail tbh.
